Chapter 665
Gavin grunted in pain and stumbled back. Debra ripped the tape from her mouth and tore away the blindfold. With all the strength she could muster, she screamed, โHelp! Somebody, help me!โ
โShut up, bitch!โ Lennox bellowed, charging at her. Debra had already managed to loosen the ropes tied around her ankles. Without hesitation, she kicked Lennox right in the groin, sending him howling in pain. Gavin rushed forward to grab her, but she swiftly knocked him to the ground. It was clear neither of the men had expected Debra to know any self-defense! She silently rejoiced, not having slacked off during her training with Marion. If she had, sheโd probably be dead by now.
โHelp!โ Debra shouted again, bolting toward the car. She jumped inside and slammed her foot on the gas, flooring it.
โSheโs running away,โ Gavin shouted. Lennox smacked him on the back of the head. โStop shouting and give chase.โ But they couldnโt catch up with the car. They panted, quickly giving up.
Just then, several cars pulled up, headlights illuminating the two men. A tall figure emerged from the lead vehicle. Drakeโs arrival frightened Lennox, and he stammered, โMr. Lowe.โ
โWhere is she?โ Drake asked coldly. Lennox swallowed hard. โS-She ran away.โ Drake narrowed his eyes, his fierce aura daunting the two men. Kale came up and yanked the two men off the ground.
Drake asked, โWho is the hirer?โ
โItโs Reece from Seamar City. He and Zane took the job. We were just supposed to kill her. Thatโs all we know, I swear,โ Lennox replied.
Drake was unimpressed with the answer. Kale asked him, โSir, how do we deal with them?โ
โFeed them to the sharks.โ
โYes, sir.โ
Lennox and Gavin wet their pants in terror.
โHave mercy, Mr. Lowe!โ
โIt wasnโt our fault. Spare us, please.โ
Drake didnโt even glance their way as he walked off. Moments later, Kaleโs men stuffed them into sacks.
โShall we pursue her, sir?โ
โShe wonโt get far. Search along this road. I her back in front of me within two hours.โ
โUnderstood.โ
Kale quickly gathered two teams, and they sped off to track down Debra. Another bodyguard draped a coat over Drakeโs shoulders.
โSir, the windโs picking up. Why donโt you head back and rest? Ms. Frazier isnโt familiar with Flesta, and weโve got people at both the airport and the docks. She wonโt escape.โ
Drake hummed and got into the car.
Outside the hotel, the car rolled into the parking lot. As Drake stepped out, a sudden slap landed hard across his face, leaving him stunned. When he looked up, there stood Debra, her clothes tattered and her face furious.
โDebra?โ He hadnโt thought she would return. Everything pointed to tonight being the perfect opportunity for her to escape. Yet she came back.
