Chapter 675

โ€œWhy did you go so hard on yourself?โ€ Marion sighed.

He stood up, walking over to the kitchen to soak a towel in warm water. Debra huffed, โ€œItโ€™s because of you. What else was I supposed to do when you had a gun pointed at my bond?โ€

Marion came back, crouching beside her. He gently pressed the damp towel against the wound on her thigh. โ€œMy gun will never be aimed at you,โ€ he said in a hoarse voice.

Debra sensed his exhaustion, reaching out to cup his face. Only then did she notice the circles under his eyes. His exhaustion was barely hidden, and no amount of bravado could disguise the toll the last few days had taken on him. She knew Marion must have gone through hell trying to find her. He probably hadnโ€™t slept properly since sheโ€™d gone missing.

Feeling touched, she leaned forward and kissed him. At first, it was a quick, gentle kiss, but Marion deepened it, pulling her close as if afraid she might vanish again. โ€œDebraโ€ฆโ€ he whispered her name between kisses, his voice thick with longing.

A soft moan escaped Debraโ€™s lips, which tore away the last of Marionโ€™s control. He scooped her into his arms and carried her to the bed. Their bodies pressed together. Every kiss and every touch spoke of the time they had been apart.

โ€œAlright, the others are still outside waiting,โ€ Debra halfheartedly protested, but her words were lost on him.

Marion croaked, โ€œThey can wait. I havenโ€™t slept in days. Letโ€™s have a good rest tonight.โ€

Debra knew better. Rest was the last thing on his mind.

Outside, Randy cleared his throat, making sure his voice carried through the walls. โ€œWell, everyoneโ€™s had a long day. Marion has booked rooms for all of us. Go downstairs and grab your keycards. Letโ€™s get some rest before we head back tomorrow.โ€ With that, he led the others to leave.

Inside the room, Debraโ€™s cheeks flushed red. Marion locked his arms around her, his eyes gleaming with mischief. โ€œNow, you canโ€™t run away.โ€

That night, Marion was insatiable, claiming her seven times before she was too exhausted to move. By the time she drifted off to sleep, she felt the most rested she had in days.

When she woke up the next day, it was already noon. Marion was lying beside her. His breathing was steady, and his long lashes were fluttering. It was the first time he had slept in. Clearly, the last few days had worn him out.

Debra reached out, tracing a finger from his nose down to his lips. Marion caught her hand, his voice teasing. โ€œWant more?โ€

Her face turned crimson, and she quickly pulled her hand back. She was sore all over and dreaded the thought of doing it again.

โ€œGet up. Time for lunch,โ€ she said, hopping out of bed. But before her feet could hit the ground, Marion was already up, sweeping her back into his arms.
