Chapter 724

Juanโ€™s lips quirked into a brief smile. โ€œSure. Whatever you want.โ€

Shelia blushed, feeling a rush of triumph, but their moment was interrupted when the door creaked open again. Joe stepped inside cautiously, only to freeze under Juanโ€™s steely gaze.

โ€œWhatโ€™s so urgent that you forgot how to knock?โ€ Juanโ€™s voice cut through the air like a blade.

Joe stiffened. โ€œI apologize, sir, but thereโ€™s an issue at the Houston familyโ€™s engagement party.โ€

Her interest piqued, Shelia asked, โ€œWhat happened?โ€

Joe replied, โ€œIt seems Mr. Houston and Ms. Frazier are missing.โ€

โ€œMissing? How is that possible?โ€ Shelia said, observing Juanโ€™s expression.

But he remained unruffled. โ€œSo what? Itโ€™s not our concern.โ€

โ€œUnderstood.โ€

โ€œYou can go.โ€

โ€œYes, sir.โ€

Once Joe left, Shelia asked tentatively, โ€œDebra is missing. Do you not care at all?โ€

Juan replied indifferently, โ€œSheโ€™s no one to me. Why should I?โ€

Sheliaโ€™s heart soared, her face lighting up with joy as she leaned into him, whispering, โ€œI knew it. Youโ€™re the best.โ€

But as she nestled against him, she failed to notice the brief, chilling darkness that flickered in Juanโ€™s eyes.

At the airport, a frantic search was underway. Far above the chaos, in the cabin of a private jet, Debra was bound tightly.

Drake smirked, savoring her helplessness. โ€œImagine Marionโ€™s reaction when he finds out Iโ€™ve taken you.โ€

Debra struggled against her restraints, but the tape over her mouth stifled her response. Her glare said it all.

โ€œDonโ€™t look at me like that,โ€ Drake sneered. โ€œYou lied first.โ€

If he had known she was involved with Marion, he would have killed her. The thought of Marion losing his beloved woman excited Drake.

โ€œBoss, weโ€™ll land in four hours.โ€

โ€œGood.โ€

โ€œSheโ€™s disobedient. Should we increase the dosage?โ€

โ€œYes, do it.โ€

Debra struggled, but Drake didnโ€™t give her the chance. He removed the syringe and injected its contents into her body. Her vision blurred almost instantly, the world around her distorting. This wasnโ€™t just sedation. It was something far more sinister.

โ€œLetโ€™s see how capable Marionโ€™s woman is,โ€ Drake smirked.

Debraโ€™s pupils constricted, and she slumped in the chair, unable to move a muscle. Before her eyes, one scene after another played out. She seemed to be back in that cold operating room, like a lamb to the slaughter. The doctor held an ice-cold scalpel, slowly approaching her. A voice, distant yet unmistakably close, whispered in her ear, โ€œAre you scared? If you beg for mercy, I might let you go. Beg me, Debra.โ€
