Chapter 82
As the two were in a standoff, Joe rushed in from outside and urgently whispered something to Juan. Juanโs expression changed. He said, โLetโs go.โ
โYes, sir.โ Joe followed behind him, casting a glance at Debra with a mix of helplessness and concern.
Debra frowned. โMarion, donโt get involved in this.โ She knew something must have happened to Shelia; otherwise, Juan wouldnโt be rushing off like this. If Shelia died, Juan would truly turn against her. She didnโt want to drag Marion into this mess; Marion had nothing to do with it.
Marion reassured her, โHe wouldnโt dare do anything to you.โ
โThatโs right. Who does he think he is? Making such a scene here over a mistress? Does he think he can dominate Seamar City?โ Erica said indignantly.
Debra lamented, โWe had a good launch today, and now itโs ruined. Iโm sorry about this.โ
โItโs not your fault. Itโs all because of Juan,โ Erica said. โI think you should just divorce him. You donโt need such a man.โ
Debra shook her head. They couldnโt divorce yet. She believed that even if Juan was furious now because of Sheliaโs accident, he wouldnโt divorce her. The Frazier family still held value for the Nichols family. Juan wouldnโt cut off his nose to spite his face, and he wouldnโt let her go easily.
โIโll go to the hospital. You stay and take care of the rest,โ she told them. With so many guests sent away by Juan, Erica surely had a lot to handle.
Marion grabbed her wrist. โIโll go with you.โ
Debra pulled her hand back. โI can handle it myself.โ
Seeing Debraโs determination, Erica held Marion back and shook her head. After Debra left, she said, โAt the end of the day, theyโre still husband and wife. Youโre in no position to protect Debra.โ
Marion pressed his lips together, and Erica added, โI donโt think Debra likes Juan. If he really does something drastic for his lover, weโll take action and teach him a lesson.โ
โI second that!โ Randy echoed.
Marion frowned as he watched Debra leave.
Chapter 82
At the hospital, Juan stood guard outside Sheliaโs ward, not leaving for a moment. When the doctor finally emerged, he approached anxiously. โHow is Shelia? Is it serious?โ
The doctor replied, โItโs serious enough, but not critical. She has a head injury that might leave a scar. Girls care about their appearances, and youโll need to help her come to terms with it.โ
Juan was shocked. Debra, having asked Joe for the address, had just arrived and overheard Juanโs conversation with the doctor. Juan rubbed his temple and turned to see Debra; his eyes were icy. โYou dare come here? Shelia is disfigured. Happy now?โ
โJuan, calm down,โ Debra said. โNo one wants this to happen, and besides, her accident wasnโt something we could predict.โ
