“Yes, ma’am… I mean, Ms. Frazier,” Sophie replied. Debra left with the bodyguards. Melody was shaken. Shelia tried to scream but was silenced by one of the guards.

Just when they arrived at the gate, another group of people rushed over. Juan stepped out of the car, his expression indifferent as he stood face-to-face with Debra. Melody and Shelia saw hope. Shelia bit the guard’s hand, and as he winced, she shouted, “Juan, save me.”

“Juan, get rid of this crazy woman,” Melody shouted, struggling.

Debra frowned, recalling the events of the other night. After sending her to the ship, he headed back alone. She hadn’t expected him to make it back alive.

“Melody hired a hitman to kill me. I have proof Shelia attempted murder and Jade’s identity. You know this as well. What now? Going to fight me?”

“Name your price,” Juan said calmly. “Whatever I can give, I’ll give.”

Debra laughed coldly. “I want the Nichols Group. Will you give it up in exchange for Melody not going to jail?”

“Yes,” Juan replied without hesitation. No matter what, Melody raised him. He owed his position, his success, and everything else to her. He couldn’t let her go to prison.

“Do you even know what you’re saying?” Debra asked.

“I do,” Juan replied firmly.

Melody shouted, “No, you can’t give it to her. I’d rather go to jail.” She turned to Debra and screamed, “Yes, I hired the hitman to kill you, but you’re still standing here. At most, it’s attempted murder. I can go to prison, but the Nichols family won’t let you off the hook.”

Debra found her words grating. “Gag her!”

“Yes, ma’am.” The guard stuffed a towel into Melody’s mouth.

Juan frowned. “I gave you what you wanted. Now let them go.”

“Alright, given the fair trade. As for Shelia, you’ll have to ask Miss Blair’s opinion,” Debra replied.

Juan glanced at Jade and said, “Miss Blair, Declan denied you at that banquet. He’d never acknowledge you. Killing Shelia won’t change that. But I can make you the legitimate daughter of the Blair family.”

Jade hesitated. She had suffered enough hardship and didn’t want to continue living a difficult life. If Juan could really make her recognized, she wouldn’t need to kill Shelia.

After a moment of thought, she agreed, “Okay.”

Juan signaled Joe to go over and untie both Melody and Shelia. When he looked at Debra again, his expression was inexplicable. “Give me three months, and the Nichols Group will be yours.”
