Chapter 827
โThree months is it,โ Debra agreed, leading Jade and the others to leave. In three months, she would take over Juanโs company. Juan silently watched her leave. Suddenly, the sharp crack of a slap echoed in the air.
Standing before him, Melody snapped, โHow could someone so foolish be part of this family? Youโve brought disgrace upon us all. Go after her and dissolve your promise. Do you hear me?โ She pushed him, desperate to protect the familyโs legacy that had been built over decades. But no matter how hard she pushed, Juan didnโt budge.
Finally, he grabbed her hand and said coldly, โHave you had enough?โ Melody froze, shocked by his tone. He added, โIโve spent my life following your rules. I owe this family nothing, but I owe Debra everything. Grandma, Iโll pay you back for raising me and make sure youโre comfortable for the rest of your life.โ
Without waiting for a response, he turned to Sophie, who had been lingering by the door. โPack her things and take her back to the old house.โ Sophie nodded and guided Melody back into the house.
โJuanโฆโ Sheliaโs voice quivered from behind him. She wanted to embrace him for comfort, but Juan suddenly grabbed her neck. She gasped, startled, as Juan began dragging her toward the stairs.
Juan had received an elite education from a young age. Though he was typically reserved and distant with others, he always conducted himself as a gentleman towards women. Despite all the mistakes Shelia had made in the past, he had never treated her so harshly before. His expression was like stone, his gaze empty and unfeeling.
โJuan, where are you taking me?โ Shelia asked, panicking as he dragged her up the stairs and into the master bedroom.
โYouโve always wanted to be Mrs. Nichols, havenโt you?โ Juan asked coldly. Shelia shook her head. โNo, I did it for you. Iโve always loved you. Thatโs why I defied Edgar and came back to you.โ She sounded as sincere as she could, but Juanโs expression remained hard.

โSince you want it so badly, Iโll make it official. Starting today, youโre my wife,โ he said, tossing two marriage certificates onto the bed. For a fleeting moment, hope lit Sheliaโs eyes, but then Juanโs next words struck like hammers. โUntil you die.โ
The color drained from her face. โJuanโฆโ As he approached, she kept backing up until she tumbled onto the bed. Juan removed his jacket and began to roll up his sleeves.
