Chapter 931

โ€œMrs. Houston, letโ€™s go upstairs,โ€ said the maid.

Debra glanced at her. โ€œIโ€™ve been cooped up in the house for days. I need some fresh air. Thatโ€™s not too much to ask, is it?โ€

โ€œI guess so,โ€ the maid said hesitantly. After all, Drake didnโ€™t forbid Debra to walk around the villa.

โ€œGood, then Iโ€™ll take a stroll. You donโ€™t need to follow me,โ€ Debra said.

โ€œMrs. Houstonโ€ฆโ€ The maid wanted to advise her, but Debra was already moving toward the door.

Outside, the patrolling security guards were surprised by her appearance. Debra was still in her pajamas, walking leisurely and humming a tune as she headed toward the garden.

Lara rushed out after her, and a guard approached. โ€œWhatโ€™s going on? Mr. Lowe didnโ€™t say Mrs. Houston could come out.โ€

โ€œI donโ€™t know,โ€ the maid replied anxiously. โ€œGet someone to follow her. If she runs away, weโ€™re all doomed.โ€

โ€œGot it.โ€ Several guards hurried after Debra, keeping a safe distance behind her.

Debra glanced sideways, noticing the guards tailing her. They werenโ€™t giving her any chance to do anything suspicious.

The maid jogged up to her, pleading, โ€œMrs. Houston, if youโ€™ve had enough fresh air, go back. If Mr. Lowe comes back and sees you out here, weโ€™ll all be in trouble.โ€

โ€œDrake just left. He wonโ€™t be back so soon, will he?โ€ Debra reasoned.

โ€œButโ€ฆโ€

โ€œI get it,โ€ Debra said. โ€œYouโ€™re afraid Drake will be mad if he finds out you let me out. Donโ€™t worry. I promise to be back in my room before he returns. He wonโ€™t even know anything.โ€

โ€œButโ€ฆโ€

โ€œLook over there.โ€ Suddenly, Debra pointed behind her. The maid turned around but saw nothing except the guards.

โ€œMrs. Houston, thereโ€™s no one there.โ€

Chapter 931

By the time she turned back, she was shocked by what she saw. Behind Debra, a figure had appeared out of nowhere, and a dozen bodyguards were swarming in, surrounding the security detail before they could react. In moments, all of them were subdued.

โ€œMarion?โ€ The maid was terrified, trying to run back to the house, but Marionโ€™s men blocked her path.

Marion smiled, putting a finger to his lips. The maid was scared into silence, recalling his tattered reputation as a ruthless outlaw. He could kill her without batting an eyelid, and she gave up any thought of resistance.

Debra asked him, โ€œHow did you know I was looking for you?โ€

โ€œI believe itโ€™s telepathy,โ€ Marion replied.

โ€œBe serious,โ€ she pressed.

Marion sighed, โ€œDrakeโ€™s car had just left when you rushed out to the courtyard. If I didnโ€™t have the sense to show up, I wouldnโ€™t be called a sensible husband.โ€
