Chapter 931
โMrs. Houston, letโs go upstairs,โ said the maid.
Debra glanced at her. โIโve been cooped up in the house for days. I need some fresh air. Thatโs not too much to ask, is it?โ
โI guess so,โ the maid said hesitantly. After all, Drake didnโt forbid Debra to walk around the villa.
โGood, then Iโll take a stroll. You donโt need to follow me,โ Debra said.
โMrs. Houstonโฆโ The maid wanted to advise her, but Debra was already moving toward the door.
Outside, the patrolling security guards were surprised by her appearance. Debra was still in her pajamas, walking leisurely and humming a tune as she headed toward the garden.
Lara rushed out after her, and a guard approached. โWhatโs going on? Mr. Lowe didnโt say Mrs. Houston could come out.โ
โI donโt know,โ the maid replied anxiously. โGet someone to follow her. If she runs away, weโre all doomed.โ
โGot it.โ Several guards hurried after Debra, keeping a safe distance behind her.
Debra glanced sideways, noticing the guards tailing her. They werenโt giving her any chance to do anything suspicious.
The maid jogged up to her, pleading, โMrs. Houston, if youโve had enough fresh air, go back. If Mr. Lowe comes back and sees you out here, weโll all be in trouble.โ
โDrake just left. He wonโt be back so soon, will he?โ Debra reasoned.
โButโฆโ
โI get it,โ Debra said. โYouโre afraid Drake will be mad if he finds out you let me out. Donโt worry. I promise to be back in my room before he returns. He wonโt even know anything.โ
โButโฆโ
โLook over there.โ Suddenly, Debra pointed behind her. The maid turned around but saw nothing except the guards.
โMrs. Houston, thereโs no one there.โ
Chapter 931
By the time she turned back, she was shocked by what she saw. Behind Debra, a figure had appeared out of nowhere, and a dozen bodyguards were swarming in, surrounding the security detail before they could react. In moments, all of them were subdued.
โMarion?โ The maid was terrified, trying to run back to the house, but Marionโs men blocked her path.
Marion smiled, putting a finger to his lips. The maid was scared into silence, recalling his tattered reputation as a ruthless outlaw. He could kill her without batting an eyelid, and she gave up any thought of resistance.
Debra asked him, โHow did you know I was looking for you?โ
โI believe itโs telepathy,โ Marion replied.
โBe serious,โ she pressed.
Marion sighed, โDrakeโs car had just left when you rushed out to the courtyard. If I didnโt have the sense to show up, I wouldnโt be called a sensible husband.โ
