Chapter 180

"Until I'm satisfied," he replied.

She bit her lip and lowered her eyelids, staring at the glass of wine in his hand. The room's lights reflected on her face, and her lightly fluttering lashes made her look indescribably pleasant.

As if reading her mind, he said, "You're afraid I'll take advantage of you once you're drunk? I have plenty of ways to get women; I don't need to resort to this. Besides, even if I did anything to you right now, nobody would notice."

"Fair enough." Grace mocked herself for overanalyzing.

She took the wine glass and gulped it down. Bitterness and dry sweetness filled her throat as the wine flowed in. She wasn't used to drinking wine; previously, she only drank champagne for work-related socializing. Back then, as Sean Stevens's girlfriend, nobody pressured her to drink excessively.

Jason refilled Grace's glass. She tilted her head back and downed it again, drinking glass after glass as if it were medicine, hoping to satisfy him. He smiled, seemingly enjoying the spectacle.

Toward the end, Grace felt disoriented, struggling to control her hands and feet. Even her voice stuttered.

"Join me for a drink" With her glass refilled, she shakily offered it to him with a bright smile.

Seeing her, he knew she was drunk, though this was different from a previous instance. Back then, he'd disliked anyone else touching his "target." Now, his gaze was fixated on her every smile and eyebrow movement. Knowing her behavior was meaningless, he still asked, "You want me to drink?"

"Yup," she nodded firmly. "Drinking alone is so boring. Drink with me, please."

His brows lifted. Such a cutesy voice was unheard of when she was sober.

"Say it again," he said, lifting a hand to brush his finger across her lips.

"Drink with me" she mumbled, her almond eyes gazing at him with a scarlet intensity.

"Okay" he replied softly, using a pampering tone he hadn't noticed before.

Jason took the glass from Grace and drank. Her smile widened as she reached for the bottle to pour herself another glass, about to drink it immediately.

He stopped her. "Sis, you're drunk. You don't need any more."

"Don't need more?" she mumbled, looking intoxicated.

"Yes, you don't need any more."

"But" Tilting her head, she seemed to be searching her memory. Then, she recalled, "Then Jason, will you release my uncle and the others?"
