Chapter 260
However, she couldn't foresee that at their next meeting, he would no longer be simply Jason. She hadn't expected him to remember something she'd said previously.
"Grace who is he?" Andrea Schwartz asked, staring at Jason in shock.
The regal and elegant man was Grace'sfriend?! The possibility seemed unbelievable.
Before Grace could speak, Jason said, "Is this woman trying to set you up on a blind date? Didn't you tell her you already had me?"
Andrea gasped. This man was he Grace's friend? Perhaps even her boyfriend? His appearance alone eclipsed Sean Stevens, let alone her associate professor boyfriend!
Thinking this, Andrea looked at Tyler Barber. She had been quite satisfied with her boyfriend. Although he was ten years older, he was an associate professor, soon to be a full professor. However, compared to Grace's friend, Andrea suddenly felt her boyfriend wasn't as impressive.
Grace was stunned by Jason's words.
Tyler Barber interjected, "My girlfriend didn't know her friend had a boyfriend. I apologize. My name is Tyler Barber. This is my girlfriend, Andrea Schwartz."
"My name is Yi Reed," Jason replied, omitting his first name.
Tyler didn't seem to mind, saying, "Mr. Reed, I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. Perhaps we could all sit down and talk?"
"Sure," Jason replied. He then said to Grace, "Let's find a place where you can have your milk tea."
Grace found this strange. Jason wasn't sociable; why did he agree to sit with them? He had already taken her hand.
Eventually, the four reached a café. Tyler offered the menu to Jason and Grace. "Please take a look and choose your order."
Andrea, acting as hostess, introduced the café. "The coffee here is excellent. The beans are carefully selected; the most famous is Hawaii's Kona. They're becoming rare. You used to love coffee, right? Would you like a Kona?"
Grace softly replied, "No, thank you. I'll stick with my milk tea."
Jason thoughtfully glanced at Grace.
"If you're worried about the cost," Andrea said smoothly, "my boyfriend and I will treat you. It's just a cup of coffee." Her words subtly conveyed superiority.
Jason smiled. "Grace wants milk tea, so I'll try the Kona."
"Of course sure," Andrea stammered, almost captivated by Jason's smile. She quickly recovered, but felt a pang of jealousy. Grace's boyfriend was incredibly handsome. How had she found someone like that after losing Sean Stevens?
