Chapter 335

Watching Kyla Corbyn's beaming face, Grace sighed and placed the order on the electric bike. More orders meant more money for Kyla, bringing Nelson closer to receiving a cochlear implant. The thought of Nelson tugged at Grace's heart; such an adorable boy, burdened with a hearing defect. Furthermore, she had never met Nelson's father. Since Nelson was also a Corbyn, she suspected Kyla was raising him alone, making the situation even more difficult.

Riding her electric bike, Grace arrived at the Reed Group building. The security guards, familiar with her, eagerly unloaded the food onto a trolley and helped push it to the elevator, even pressing the button for her. The receptionist greeted her warmly, bowing respectfully. Grace was likely the only delivery person to receive such treatment—all thanks to Jason.

Exiting the elevator with the trolley, Jason's secretaries swarmed her, politely taking the food and greeting her. Outsiders might have mistaken her for an executive. Carrying two lunch boxes, Grace knocked twice on Jason's office door and entered after hearing his response.

She was stunned. The office was filled with impeccably dressed people—the executives she'd seen pictured on the building's bulletin boards. For a moment, she stood frozen, lunch boxes in hand.

"There you are. Take a seat," Jason gestured to the sofa.

Grace numbly walked over, placed the lunch boxes down, and sat, staring at the executives.

"You can eat first. I'll join you later," Jason said gently.

Grace was speechless. How could she eat in front of them?

The executives were equally perplexed. A rumor had circulated about the president's relationship with the delivery woman, a rumor many dismissed as absurd. Yet, here she was, wearing a jacket from "Yan Yan Restaurant." Their curiosity piqued; did the president have a particular fondness for that restaurant's food?

Jason's voice cut through their thoughts. "Redo the budget and continue discussing the acquisition. Get it done in three days, and…" His voice, cold and businesslike, was a stark contrast to his gentle demeanor toward Grace.

He dismissed the meeting. As the executives left, Jason approached Grace. "Aren't you usually eager to eat? Why the delay today?"
