Chapter 380

Jason picked up the plate of food, went to her, and placed it in front of her. "Sis, if you want to know where your mother is buried, you'd better eat this now."

Grace looked up, her red and swollen almond-shaped eyes filled with surprise. What did he mean? Did it mean "Do you know where my mother is buried?"

"I'll tell you after you finish this," he said.

Hearing this, Grace felt a surge of motivation. She picked up the food and began to eat.

Jason frowned. She was gobbling it down like a beast, unlike her usual self. Nevertheless, it showed how important her mother's grave was to her.

He furrowed his brows, watching the tears rolling down her face. Her eyes were redder and more swollen than before. She had been crying while he was gone.

"Eat slowly," Jason said. "Even if your father buried your mother at the North or South Pole, I'll take you there! If you choke, you'll only waste more time."

Grace shuddered. Her hand holding the chopsticks paused before she resumed eating, this time much more slowly.

Jason watched until she finished, then took a tissue and carefully wiped the corner of her mouth.

"I I've finished eating. Tell me where my mother is buried," Grace said, her expression a mixture of anticipation and worry. She seemed terrified he couldn't help her.

Jason raised his hand and stroked her cheek, his fingertips immediately wet with her tears. "Go and wash your face. Your mother wouldn't like seeing you like this," he said.

"However"

"Why? Don't you believe I'll take you to your mother's grave?" Jason smirked slightly. "I'm the only one you can trust now, and only I can take you there."

Grace looked at him for a moment before turning and walking to the bathroom. She turned on the faucet.

Looking in the mirror, she saw her red, swollen eyes and tear-stained face. Even her bangs were a mess; she looked dreadful. Her mother would be upset. Would Jason really take her? Would he help without demanding something in return?

Grace felt extremely perturbed. But no matter how anxious she was, she could only do as Jason wished. After all, as he said, he was the only person she could trust.

After washing her face, Grace walked out of the bathroom to find Jason sitting on the sofa, playing with his phone.

"Did your father say he wants fifty million dollars to tell you where your mother is buried?" he asked.

"Yes," Grace replied, her head lowered.
