Chapter 422

“But even if Brian wants to take you away, he can’t, right? Because you like me, and you’re destined to fall in love with me, right?” Jason murmured, his warm breath brushing her face. As he finished speaking, he kissed her.

He would never let anyone else have her; she would be his.

When Grace woke up the next day, Jason had already left for work. After breakfast, she prepared his lunch. Lunch boxes and ingredients were readily available at the Reed residence, and a chef was on hand to assist if needed.

After preparing Jason's lunch, Grace examined it, pleased with her improved culinary skills. She took the lunch boxes to the Reed Group. However, she was driven there by the Reed family's chauffeur, stunning the security guard at the entrance.

Although a few company employees had circulated rumors about the mysterious takeout rider, it was clear she was more than just that. Otherwise, how could she have upgraded from an electric bike to a private car so quickly? Especially that car—several security guards recognized it as belonging to the president's household, driven by his personal chauffeur. Being picked up by the president's driver? No one would believe there was nothing between her and the president!

Grace knew the security guards well and greeted them warmly: "Good afternoon."

"Good…afternoon…" they replied.

Grace took the lunch boxes to the elevator and went up to Jason's floor. No one there was unaware of Grace's existence, and most knew her relationship with the president was far from ordinary.

"Uh, is Mr. Reed in the office?" Grace asked a secretary.

"Yes," the secretary replied.

"Is anyone else in his office?" Grace asked cautiously, wanting to avoid an embarrassing encounter with senior managers.

"No, he's alone," the secretary said.

Grace then walked to Jason's office. After knocking and entering, she saw Jason at his desk, but he appeared to be in a video conference. Grace was flustered. He was alone, but in a meeting. Fortunately, the camera wasn't facing her.

"You're here. Wait a bit; the meeting will be over soon," Jason said.

"Okay," Grace whispered.

She approached the coffee table, but as she was about to set down the lunch boxes, she heard someone in the video conference say, "Oh, Jason, is that the woman we saw at the last meeting?"

"Could be someone else," another voice responded.

"I don't think so. I've never heard Jason speak so gently to another woman."

The video conference participants discussed whether she was the woman from the previous meeting, speaking in English. Grace's English was fluent enough to understand their conversation.
