Chapter 432
He turned to the shop assistant. "Pack these up."
The shop assistant readily packed the hair accessories and prepared the receipt. Jason paid and took the bag. Grace didn't protest; she understood it was a gift from the heart. Refusal might make him uncomfortable.
"Let's buy some clothes and shoes," he said, launching into a shopping spree.
"But I have shoes. We don't need more."
"But I want to see you beautifully dressed. Don't women say men earn money for them to spend? Besides, you bought me clothes and shoes last time."
Grace had no counterargument. However, worried about his spending on luxury brands, she said, "Can I choose what I like?"

Her reflection showed a gaze different from the one she'd had upon leaving prison; the lifelessness was fading, the mist dissipating.
Was it Jason? Had he given her hope for the future? In the past, she would have found that hilarious. How could someone who'd destroyed her hope now be the source of it?
"Do you like it?" His voice startled her. He'd approached silently, standing behind her, watching her reflection. Their gazes met in the mirror.
"Um, n-not bad," she stammered. His gaze brightened, making her blush.
"I think it's nice too." He whispered in her ear. He found her inexplicably beautiful, unable to look away.
Her ears reddened, her heart racing. "Th-then I'll take this. Let me change." She hurried toward the changing room.
Suddenly, he grabbed her wrist.
