Chapter 433

She gave him a weird stare. "What's the matter?"

He pursed his lips, and the clarity returned to his gaze. He smiled. "Nothing. Go get changed."

Jason released his grip.

After Grace entered the changing room and closed the door, Jason closed his eyes briefly. When he opened them, the lust in his gaze was gone. Earlier, he'd wanted her right then and there! His craving for her seemed to be escalating lately, but he couldn't act on it. It was difficult enough for her to allow him near; he couldn't risk frightening her away.

She was like a cautious, timid animal. Every movement was deliberate. He needed patience, to allow her to overcome her apprehension and learn to trust him. Only then would she fall in love with him, and only then would she stay.

He had to be patient. Patience. All for her love.

When Grace emerged from the changing room in her original clothes and shoes, Jason's head was slightly lowered, his expression solemn.

"What is it? What are you thinking about?" she asked.

He looked up and smiled. "Nothing." He took the clothes and shoes from her hands to pay the cashier.

Just as they were about to take the elevator, a young girl ran up and stopped in front of Jason. "Hello, my name is Judy Dixon. I'm a sophomore at Shen University. Can we exchange numbers?"

She was youthful and sweet, with straight black hair cascading over her shoulders. Head-to-toe in designer clothes that accentuated her figure, she clearly came from a wealthy family.

Jason coldly rejected her. "No."

"Is it because of her? Is she your girlfriend?" Judy Dixon pointed at Grace.

Jason's eyes narrowed, a dangerous glint appearing that made Judy Dixon shudder, yet simultaneously intensified her desire to win him over. She was a campus beauty, pursued by many, but she was rarely interested. This was unusual, and she refused to believe she couldn't succeed.

In her opinion, she was far superior to the "old-fashioned" woman beside him. Even with Grace's pleasant features, Judy Dixon judged her skincare routine lacking, her hair limp and dull, her clothes unremarkable.

"Even if she's your girlfriend, you can still choose. I'd make a great girlfriend!" Judy Dixon declared confidently.

Most men would accept her offer; they liked her innocent yet direct approach.

A girl standing nearby commented, "Judy's the prettiest girl on campus. Tons of guys are after her. This is the first time I've seen her make the first move." The implication was that Jason should feel honored.

A confident smile plastered Judy Dixon's face. Even a rejection, she believed, would be reluctant. She'd claim victory either way and get his number. The woman beside him was unworthy of a second glance.

This woman is no match for me.

Even if she gets angry, I have ways to humiliate her.
