Chapter 52

"You're right to teach them a lesson, Dr. Calcraft," Walter replied with a smile. He knew Nash was proficient in martial arts and had been merciful the previous day, but he didn't appreciate the threat in his tone. Both Kai and Queenie were precious to him, and he wouldn't allow them harm.

After their meal, Nash paid the twenty-seven-dollar bill. He rubbed his stomach and then accompanied Walter to the Watsons' residence. A nine-story villa stood at the center of the sprawling Watson estate.

Kai sat on the sofa in the luxurious living room, his expression gloomy. He'd lost face at the Lewises' home and was devising a plan to help Helena.

"Mr. Kai," Canary said, crossing his legs on the opposite sofa and tapping Kai's leg, "the old master has a good relationship with Mr. Lee. If you ask for his help, you can definitely change this situation!"

Kai narrowed his eyes. "That's the only way," he replied lightly.

Mr. Lee, Olivia's grandfather and father of the Drake Group chairman, was no ordinary man. A former three-star commander-in-chief of the Northern Territory's border defense, even his own grandfather showed him respect.

Suddenly, Queenie stormed into the living room with two bodyguards, causing everyone to look up. "I'm so furious!" she exclaimed, sitting beside Kai. Aggrieved and sobbing, she added, "Cousin, I was bullied! You have to help me."

Though only her cousin, Kai doted on Queenie and usually intervened when she was mistreated.

"Who bullied our little princess?" Canary asked, his admiration evident. He knew his place: he was merely Kai's subordinate, unworthy of Queenie.

"Nash," Queenie said angrily. "That bastard made me drink two bowls of haggis soup!"

Canary looked surprised. "What's that?"

Queenie, too upset to explain, simply looked at Kai with pleading eyes. "Cousin, get someone to teach him a lesson!"

Canary twisted his neck. "Don't worry, princess. We'll definitely find a way to… deal with him."

"Isn't it enough to just teach him a lesson?" Queenie asked, trembling slightly.

Canary smiled enigmatically, unwilling to elaborate.

Just then, Kai received a call from his grandfather. Afterward, he announced, "Grandpa brought Nash to treat Grandma. Let's avoid them for now."

Queenie clenched her fists. "Why should we? He's demanding a hundred million dollars! I want to see how he'll heal Grandma. If he fails, we'll have even more reason to teach him a lesson!"

Their grandmother had been in a coma for years, a condition even the best medical teams couldn't cure.

A slight smile touched Kai's lips. "You're right. Let's wait and see."

Ten minutes later, the entire Watson family gathered, incredulous at the news that their patriarch had brought home a genius doctor to treat the matriarch.

"The madam has been in a coma for three years! Is there anyone who can cure her?"

"Miracle Doctor Tanner failed, let alone anyone else."

"I heard Uncle paid a hundred million dollars for this consultation!"

"A hundred million? Has he lost his mind?"
