Chapter 64

The next moment, he dashed toward Nash. Murderous intent flashed in Nash's eyes as he drew a small dagger from his sleeve. Janson, overwhelmed with anger, appeared before Nash in an instant. The Warden intervened, shouting, "That's enough! Stop it!"

The dagger pressed against Janson's throat. A slight pressure would have been fatal. Cold sweat beaded on Janson's temples; his pants were damp. Janson hadn't even seen Nash move.

The Warden exclaimed, "Since it's a test, a little roughhousing is fine, but no killing!"

Stellar whispered an explanation: "The Grim Reaper said he doesn't know how to compete for fun; he only knows how to kill."

The Warden chuckled. "Let them be. The Smiling Grim Reaper protecting me is enough." He felt reassured by the Smiling Grim Reaper's display of strength, confident in his own safety.

Stellar approached Harold, grinning. "Mr. Watson, don't worry. With the Smiling Grim Reaper protecting the Warden, you can dismiss your martial artists." After all, his 140-million-dollar bodyguard hadn't disappointed. Crucially, the Smiling Grim Reaper also served as the Warden's cleric. Tili Mountain had truly cultivated an extraordinary disciple.

Harold, speechless, gestured helplessly at George and Janson. "You two, leave." They were reluctant but had no choice; their skills were simply inadequate.

Around eleven o'clock, three Rolls-Royces approached the Lee household. Nash sat beside the Warden, eyes closed, while Stellar occupied the passenger seat. Through the rearview mirror, Stellar noticed Nash's closed eyes and asked, "Kid, how do you spot a killer like that?"

Nash replied bluntly, "You don't look for the real killer with your eyes." Ordinary killers might be spotted visually, but those on the Blood List possessed unparalleled camouflage, making detection nearly impossible.

The Warden laughed. "Stellar, don't worry. Trust this hundred-million-dollar killer."

Stellar's muscles relaxed; he leaned back, sighing deeply. Bored, the Warden turned to Nash. "I hear you trained on Tili Mountain?"

Nash nodded slightly but remained silent.

The Warden continued, "And that your victims were all heinous sinners. Who ordered you?"

Nash remained silent, eyes closed. He disliked being understood, even more so being questioned. As a killer, he adhered to the professional code of not revealing his employer's identity.

The Warden ceased questioning Nash's silence. Stellar, peeking through the rearview mirror, was puzzled by the Warden's persistent attempts to converse with Nash. The Warden, usually reserved, was unusually talkative, even with a professional killer.

At Splendiferous Meadows, the Lee family's real estate development, the scene shifted.
