Her cheeks were now firmer and felt warm to his touch.

It had only been a week, but she seemed to be recovering well!

“Would you scratch my hand if you like me too, honey?” Yarrick asked as he gently caressed her face.

Right after he asked the question, she touched the palm of his hand with her fingertips.

Yarrick let out a soft laugh. Hailey was such an interesting woman!

The corner of his lip twitched before he bent over and kissed her lips. He even cupped a hand around the back of her neck during the press.

Hailey, who was already short of breath, was now breathing even more erratically.

Since they were at the hospital anyway, Yarrick felt better than before. Two minutes later, he removed his slippers and lay on the bed, cradling Hailey in his arms. She curled up into a ball and lay peacefully in his arms.

“I’ll be living together with you from now on, honey. I promise I’ll do my best to make you feel loved and cared for,” he said.

Yannick was gently hugging Hailey from behind. He noted that her body was still quite weak, so he tried to keep his emotions and excitement in check.

He had to remain calm. After all, he had all the time in the world!

“By the way, I recently applied for a new job. It pays quite well, so I think I’ll be able to handle our daily expenses just fine,” he said. “All you have to do is focus on your recovery while I work and earn money for our expenses.”

Yarrick wasn’t aware of Hailey’s financial situation before meeting her. He hesitated to ask about her huge medical bills and their daily expenses. From what he knew, Selena was incredibly well-off. Judging by how others addressed her as “Madam Hailey,” there had to be more to her than met the eye.

Unlike what Selena said, Hailey probably just moved into this rented apartment not long ago.

He didn’t care about Hailey’s circumstances. He just wanted to live a happy life with her. He was going to turn this arranged marriage into a loving and fulfilling relationship.

Hailey was silent. After hearing what Yarrick said, she reached out and hugged his waist tightly. She felt somewhat touched by his words.

“What do you think, honey? If you think my suggestion is acceptable, could you give me a scratch?”

Hailey gently scratched his waist.

It was just as he suspected; she had decided to give this relationship a shot.

If they were able to build a happy life together, then it’d be a win-win situation. If that didn’t happen, they’d just call it off as soon as possible to prevent any further damage.

“Oh, right. You haven’t had dinner yet, have you? Let me go make you some food. You need a full stomach to help you recover.” Yarrick gently patted her back and said in a gentle tone.

Hailey suddenly lifted her head and gave him a peck on the cheek. Then, she muttered, “Chua already prepared dinner. It’s in the kitchen.”

Her voice sounded soft and furry.

Yarrick was startled. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing. His wife’s voice was angelic!

“This is the first time you’ve ever spoken to me since we met in person, honey. Your voice sounds so nice…”

He couldn’t help but swoon at the sound of such a sweet voice. How could this woman be so sweet and gentle?

After uttering those few sentences, Hailey curled up in Yarrick’s arms once again. His embrace made her feel warm and safe.

“Do you want to have dinner, Hailey? I’ll feed you while you sleep after we eat. Does that sound good?”

It was dinner time. Since Hailey’s body was relatively weak, it would be better if they had dinner early.

As for cuddling, the night was still young. They had plenty of time to cuddle later on.

They were behaving like an actual newly wedded couple. They couldn’t get enough of each other. Despite that, Hailey was still a recovering patient. As a result, their situation was different.
