“Yes,” Hailey responded in a small voice and obediently nodded.

Yarrick instantly swooned, mesmerized by her once again.

Since she said she could walk on her own, though he was thinking of carrying her to the dining area, he asked, “Let’s go, honey. Do you need me to carry you?”

“It’s okay. I can walk.” She couldn’t help but smile bashfully.

She was still feeling relatively weak, but she had no problem walking or conversing. She would most certainly be able to make a full recovery with some additional rest.

Now that she didn’t need his help, he proceeded to stand up from the bed. He was able to look at her face more clearly now!

The eyes were the windows to the soul—even the most gorgeous face in the world wouldn't feel complete without a pair of bright eyes.

Yarrick found Hailey’s eyes utterly captivating. She was beautiful. She looked like she was in her early twenties at best.

Her cheeks had looked hollow when she was still unconscious, but now they were completely different. She was so much prettier!

Hailey kept her head down the entire time. She seemed to be too shy to look at Yarrick. Up until now, she hadn’t even glanced at him properly. She was feeling slightly nervous. She had seen a photo of him before, but the photo had been edited. She didn’t know if he actually looked like that in real life. Despite being married for quite some time, she still didn’t know him well.

Now that she was finally going to look at his face for the first time, she couldn’t help but feel nervous.

Besides, she had never been in a relationship before. It was nerve-wracking. If Yarrick hadn’t been by her side and showered her with so much physical affection, she would probably remain single for the rest of her life. The thought made her smile.

“You haven’t seen my face properly, have you?” Upon noticing her bashful demeanor, Yarrick pulled her closer, holding her chin as before placing another peck on her lips.

“So look at me, let me show you properly,” he said as he took out his phone.

He dug up the selfie he took on their wedding day at the hospital. Then, he handed the phone to Hailey. “Look, your husband actually looks quite handsome.” Hailey took the phone from him and instantly froze.

Yarrick looked so young and handsome!

He was a gentle and funny man, so she wondered what he would look like. She never expected him to look like this. He was so young and attractive.

She felt her attraction toward him grow stronger. She suddenly developed the courage, tilted her head, and looked at him. “Hungry…”
