Never Truly Over Chapter 6

Chapter 6

Quinn stared momentarily at the black screen of her phone before standing up and heading downstairs.

Club Nightwater was the most luxurious club in Xenvale. Quinn had never been there, but as a hotel employee, she knew its reputation. A private club of this size wasn't meant for ordinary people, but for the wealthy. Only club members could enter.

It wasn't surprising that Cameron would be in such a place. But why had he called her there?

Filled with doubts, Quinn exited the car and approached the entrance. A security guard stopped her. "Miss, this is a private club. Only VIP members are allowed entry."

Quinn realized she was still wearing her hotel uniform. Entering the club would be difficult.

Just as she was considering how to proceed, Harry emerged from inside. "She's my guest. Is that sufficient?"

Seeing Harry, the security guard immediately apologized and allowed Quinn to enter.

Once inside, Harry pulled Quinn aside and slipped a room key into her hand. "Mr. Sutton is in Room 999. Go there immediately. If anyone knocks, send them away. Understand?"

"Me?"

Quinn held the room key, looking confused. "Then what about you?"

"I have more important things to do. I'll pick you and Mr. Sutton up in half an hour," Harry replied, walking away without waiting for a response.

Left with no choice, Quinn looked at the room numbers and bravely made her way down the hallway.

At the end of the hallway was an elegant-looking garden, beyond which was a row of quaint, unique-looking rooms. Quinn walked toward them and, checking the number above the door, found Room 999.

She checked the number on her key for confirmation. She tapped the key to the electronic lock. It unlocked with a crisp sound, and the door opened.

The room was dimly lit, but a folding screen with a painting of a lady caught her eye. The interior décor had an antique charm.

Quinn entered cautiously. The door automatically shut behind her.

Before she could see what was behind the folding screen, a long arm pulled her over. She fell heavily onto a carved wooden bed, her mind reeling.

She opened her mouth to call for help, but Cameron kissed her passionately, silencing her.

"Mmm…" Quinn struggled, trying to break free, but Cameron's grip tightened. The pressure was immense; she could barely breathe.

What was he doing? Why? Confused, she instinctively tried to defend herself, but the difference in strength was overwhelming.

A faint scent of alcohol lingered. Was Cameron drunk?

As she wondered this, his hand lifted her skirt. Cameron buried his head in her neck, inhaling her scent. The familiar fragrance seemed to awaken a long-dormant desire, and lust surged within him.
