Seeing the smile on Freya’s face, Harry’s eyes darkened. Freya noticed his gaze and, unsure of its meaning, asked, “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing.”

Freya didn’t press. She walked a little farther with Daisy while Harry stayed nearby, watching without interfering. After tiring of flying the kite, Freya and Daisy sat by the lake and fished, or crouched by the side to observe the small fish swimming in the vendors’ tiny pools, catching them with a small net.

Soon, it was noon. Harry had originally planned only to take Daisy for a walk. Unlike others, they hadn’t brought any food, and now that it was mealtime and Daisy was hungry, Harry suggested they eat at a nearby restaurant. Having relaxed for a couple of hours, Freya was in a better mood and didn’t refuse his suggestion.

At lunch, Freya mostly chatted with Daisy. Seeing how well they got along, Harry didn’t intrude on their conversation but quietly moved dishes they liked closer to them. Freya, engrossed in talking to Daisy, didn’t notice.

After a while, Harry’s phone rang. Seeing the caller ID, he turned to Freya and said, “I’ll take this call.”

“Okay.”

The call was from Levi. Harry walked a little farther before answering. “What’s up?”

“Where are you now? Have you eaten? My friend just sent me some fresh seafood. Want to come over and have some? Matteo and the others will be here too.”

Harry glanced at Freya and Daisy, then politely declined. “We’ve already eaten, maybe next time.”

“Alright, then do you have any plans for tonight? There’s a cruise party tonight; Matteo and the others have confirmed they’re coming. You can bring your little niece along. We haven’t really met her, so this would be a good chance to introduce her to everyone.”

Harry declined. “She’s shy. There’ll be too many people on the cruise. I’m afraid she won’t be comfortable.”

“No worries, Isabella will be there too. They’re about the same age, they’ll probably play together.” Without waiting for a response, Levi added, “Seven o’clock, don’t forget.”

With that, Levi ended the call.

After lunch, Freya and Daisy chased butterflies, rode bicycles, and continued until they were both tired. Only then did they stop. Daisy fell asleep from exhaustion. Freya, feeling the need to rest, decided to drive home. Harry watched her car leave. After a short while, he also left.

Some time later, Daisy woke up, but when she couldn’t find Freya, she furrowed her little brows and asked, “Where’s Auntie?”

“She went home.”

Daisy’s face fell. “Oh…”

At 7 p.m., Harry boarded the yacht on time. Matteo and the others had already arrived. Seeing him, Levi waved. When he saw Daisy, Levi laughed. “I guess this must be the beautiful Daisy. Hello, little beauty, I’m your Uncle Levi…”

There were many people on the yacht, and Daisy was indeed a little shy. After Levi finished introducing himself, Raven led Isabella over. When Harry saw them, he hesitated for a moment.

Knowing Daisy was shy, after Isabella introduced herself, she took the initiative and extended her hand, saying, “There are a lot of children over there. Would you like to come with me and play?”

Daisy looked at Harry, and after he nodded, she mustered the courage to follow Isabella.

Once the two children walked away, Levi smiled and asked, “How does it feel to be a ‘dad’ for the first time?”

“Not bad.”

His little niece was shy and reserved, but well-behaved. Taking care of her wasn’t too much trouble.

Matteo handed him a glass of wine. “Have a drink?”

Harry looked at Matteo, paused, then took the glass. “Thank you.”

The two clinked glasses, drinking and chatting. After a while, Matteo suddenly looked at him more intently. Harry raised his eyes. “What’s wrong?”

Levi chimed in, “You seem…off today.”

Matteo smiled slightly, acknowledging Levi’s observation. Harry remained calm. “Is that so?”

Levi raised an eyebrow. “Really?”

Harry took a small sip of his drink and said nothing. At that moment, someone came over to greet them. Once the person left, Harry glanced at the time, realizing Daisy might be hungry. Just as he was about to check on her, Daisy and Isabella returned.

Daisy asked, “Uncle, can I go eat those little cakes over there?”

Daisy had a sensitive constitution and couldn’t eat many things. Harry responded, “You stay here. Uncle will bring them to you.”

“Okay.”

Isabella, on the other hand, was more independent and had a good appetite. She went to fetch whatever she wanted. She even asked Matteo, “Dad, do you want some?”

Matteo rubbed her head. “No, thank you.”

The two kids sat together eating. Raven, who was eating something delicious, also shared with Isabella. Isabella happily accepted. “Thank you, Aunt Raven.”

Daisy looked up at Raven with confusion and then asked Isabella, “Isabella, isn’t this aunt your mom?”

At that, the entire place fell silent. Isabella paused, then shook her head. “No.”

Daisy cautiously asked, “Don’t you have a mom either?”

Isabella shook her head. “No, I do have a mom.”

“Oh…” Daisy seemed to accept this, nodding.

On the yacht, they were handing out souvenirs, and Daisy was quite fond of one particular crystal keychain. She picked out two of them. There were only two available. Isabella liked them too, and seeing that Daisy had taken both, she couldn’t help but ask, “Daisy, could you give one to me? I want to give it to Aunt Raven.”

Daisy hesitated, unwilling to part with it, but then said, “I… I also want to give one to my Auntie…”

Thinking of Freya, Daisy couldn’t help but share with Isabella, “Today, Uncle and Auntie came with me to fly kites, fish, ride bicycles, and chase butterflies…Auntie is so pretty. She will definitely like this crystal…”

Several adults were nearby, but they hadn’t paid much attention to the children’s conversation until they heard this. Raven, Levi, and Matteo all turned to look at Harry.
