Chapter 610
Seeing the change in Aubreeโs expression, Kelvin awkwardly cut himself off. โMaybe Mr. Turner asked her to helpโฆโ
The moment he said it, he realized how it sounded. Rumors had already been circulating about Mr. Turner and Jacinta, and now he was essentially suggesting that Mr. Turner had directly asked an intern to review his files. Wouldnโt that just make Aubree more suspicious of them?
โMaybe,โ Aubree replied, already lost in her thoughts. โI need to find out more about Jacinta,โ she told herself.
Without saying anything else to Kelvin, she walked out of the Turner Group building.
As soon as she got into her car, Aubree quickly texted Vincent: [Look into the intern at Turner Group named Jacinta Melrose.]
Shortly after Aubree left, Jacinta unexpectedly showed up in Bowenโs office.
She lowered her head respectfully and greeted, โMr. Alvin.โ
โDid Aubree just stop by?โ Alvin asked.
โYes, I did everything you taught me to,โ Jacinta replied. Alvin lowered his gaze, studying her face.
He reached out, gripping her chin to lift her face as he reminded, โSince this is what you chose, make sure you do it well.โ
Alvin studied her face carefully. It had taken a lot of effort to get Jacintaโs face to be the way it is now. He commented, โNot bad. The recovery turned out pretty well.โ
Jacinta clenched her fists as she responded, โYou said as long as I do what you tell me to, Iโll get my chance.โ
โOf course. That depends on whether you can grab onto the opportunity when it arises,โ Alvin replied.
After leaving Turner Group, Aubree didnโt go anywhere else. She drove straight to the Turner familyโs mansion to see Bowen.
As Enrique was feeling unwell, Aubree had planned to visit him anyway. With all the drama surrounding Jacinta, she really needed to have a serious conversation with Bowen.
On her way, she stopped to pick up some health supplements, then made her way to the Turner mansion.
When she arrived, she found Bowen and Enrique fishing together.
โSomething is wrong with this location!โ Enrique insisted, his face red with frustration.
Enrique seemed upset and was arguing with Bowen.
Bowen, holding his fishing rod, caught a fish just then and smiled. โGrandpa, you cannot blame the spot if youโre not catching anything,โ he teased.
Aubree noticed that Bowen had a good catch in his bucket, while Enriqueโs was empty.
โWhy donโt we switch spots?โ Enrique suggested, still irritated.
โYouโve fished everywhere in this pond, but Iโve never seen you catch much!โ he grumbled, growing so frustrated he started stomping his feet.
Aubree couldnโt help but laugh, which made Bowen happy and surprised. He asked her, โWhat brings you here today?โ
โI came to see Enrique,โ Aubree replied.
Enrique grumbled, โWhatโs so interesting about an old man like me?โ
After lunch, Enrique decided to take a walk outside while Aubree and Bowen talked together.
โDid you go to the office?โ Bowen asked.
โYeah,โ she replied, quickly telling him about her day at work.
Then she pressed him, โSo, Bowen, whatโs going on between you and Jacinta?โ Her eyes were searching his face for answers.
In one of Aliceโs private villas in Rithol City, Ernesto was filled with anger. โDivorce? How could you even say that?โ he yelled.
He was still away on a business trip when he heard the shocking news โ Alice had argued with Ronald and mentioned casually, โIf things get terrible, weโll just get a divorce.โ
Once, the Diamonde family was more respected than the Wilson family. They had seen potential in Ronald and treated him well. They never tried to boss him around, which is why Ronald helped the Diamonde family during tough times.
