Chapter 132: Olivia Is, After All, My Sister
The next scene belonged to Willow, so Olivia went to change her look. The moment Olivia stepped into the makeup room, Daniel barged in, ready to confront her. โOlivia, whatโs going on? Why did you go on set without makeup? Do you even care about doing this job properly?โ
At that moment, Eve returned to grab something, and Daniel immediately redirected his anger toward her. โAnd you! Why didnโt you do her makeup?โ
Eve glanced at Olivia with disdain, her tone sharp and irritated. โDaniel, I donโt have the patience to deal with her. I was going to do her makeup, but she refused and told me I wouldnโt be needed anymore.โ
Danielโs expression darkened. โOlivia, what are you trying to say? Are you firing Eve?โ
Without sparing Danielโs anger a glance, Olivia sat down calmly. โYes, Iโm firing her.โ
Danielโs face grew even darker. Eve had been recommended by Amelia, and all of Oliviaโs previous unflattering looks were her doing. Olivia had always been compliant before; what was going on with her today?
โOlivia, youโre just a rookie. Your previous projects havenโt been successful, and the company isnโt going to assign you another makeup artist. If you fire her, youโll be left without one,โ Daniel threatened.
Olivia raised her eyebrow slightly. โThatโs fine. I donโt need one.โ
Daniel was stunned by her firm reply. His intention had been to intimidate Olivia into submission, but unexpectedly, she was showing some backbone. Amelia had specifically instructed him to sabotage Olivia. Given his small agencyโs reliance on Ameliaโs influence, he had no choice but to comply. After all, it was Ameliaโs network that secured Willowโs role as the second lead. Now, Oliviaโs sudden defiance was throwing a wrench into his plans.
Eve, standing nearby, snorted. โDaniel, you heard her! She doesnโt want me. If it werenโt for Ms. Amelia asking me to help, I wouldnโt waste my time on someone at her level.โ
Daniel felt a splitting headache coming on.
Elsewhere, in a luxurious van, Amelia was reviewing the script for A Little Spark of Joy.
โAmelia, why did you go out of your way to recommend Olivia for Mr. Josโs production? Her acting is terrible, and her looks are no better. Was it really worth all the hassle?โ Daisy, Ameliaโs agent, asked, puzzled.
Ameliaโs perfect complexion remained serene, her large eyes shimmering with a natural allure. Every time Daisy looked at her, she was struck by her beauty. Even in an industry overflowing with attractive people, Ameliaโs appearance was a cut above. No wonder the company had invested heavily in her.
โI heard Oliviaโs first scene has already been filmed,โ Daisy continued. โRumor has it Mr. Jos got angry. With Oliviaโs lack of skill, sheโs only making things worse. Iโm only worried sheโll end up dragging you down.โ
Amelia lifted her gaze, her white outfit accentuating her soft and delicate aura. โDaisy, no matter what, Olivia is still my sister. I just wanted to help her.โ
