Chapter 174: Now Alexander Knows to Tell on Me

While Olivia was munching on hotdogs with Jared, she suddenly received a phone call from Alexander. Upon seeing Alexander’s name on the screen, Olivia was surprised. “Is hell freezing over?” she thought to herself. “Or is it about to rain red?” Alexander calling her? How very unusual.

“Hello?” Olivia casually answered the call as she bit into her hotdog.

“Come to the Devinly Hotel right now,” Alexander’s deep voice sounded from the phone.

To which Olivia reflexively replied, “Not happening. Why should I?”

“Have you forgotten what day it is?” There was a hint of danger in Alexander’s voice.

“What day is it?” Olivia said nonchalantly.

Alexander fell silent.

“Olivia, it’s Valentine’s Day today,” Jared whispered to her.

“Oh, Valentine’s Day, huh…” Olivia panicked a little when the realization finally hit. Valentine’s Day?

“You finally remembered?” Alexander’s cold voice echoed in Olivia’s ear.

Olivia blinked in disbelief, and said, “You… Don’t tell me you’re really there?” No way! The always busy Alexander has really gone to the hotel?

“What do you think?”

Olivia was silent, unable to come up with a good reply.

“Who’s the one reminding me about this every day?” Alexander’s cold voice sounded.

Olivia was too embarrassed to say anything. It was her, indeed. However, she had never intended to show up at the hotel. She had only done that to get in Georgina’s way. Her daily act of reminding him about Valentine’s Day was simply to stop Georgina from stirring up trouble.

“Um, I’m already almost full, how about you eat on your own?” Olivia said as she took another bite of her hotdog.

There was no way she was going to meet him at the hotel. Alexander said nothing. He simply hung up. Olivia felt no guilt for ghosting Alexander. After all, neither of them was romantically interested in each other. So why bother spending Valentine’s Day together?

However, just when Olivia was finally full and ready to pay for the meal, her phone started ringing. This time, displayed on her screen was Liam’s name. Olivia answered the call.

“Hello, grandpa?”

Liam’s voice sounded, “Livi, why aren’t you spending Valentine’s Day with Alexander?”

Olivia was speechless. What the hell? What’s going on?

“Livi, I know that Alexander has done plenty of unacceptable things in the past, but I will teach him a good lesson. Don’t you think too much about it. Please don’t spend Valentine’s Day with some other guy just to get back at him…” Liam’s words seemed to be hinting at something. “He has even carefully planned it all out this time. He has made reservations at the Devinly Hotel, and is waiting to spend Valentine’s Day with you.”

Olivia was shocked. How did Liam know that she was having dinner with someone else? Hang on… How did grandpa know that Alexander has made reservations at the hotel? It immediately struck her. That Alexander actually went to grandpa to tell on me! She was the one who would usually use Liam’s name to threaten them, yet now she had unexpectedly fallen victim to her own medicine!

“Oh, I’m getting old now, and all I wish is for you young ones to be together in peace,” Liam sighed.

The corners of Olivia’s lips twitched. She had never imagined that Alexander would do such a thing! You bloody copycat! You bastard!

“Grandpa, you misunderstand. I’m not doing anything to get back at him. I’m just having a discussion with a friend over a meal. I’ll make my way to Alexander right away,” Olivia said casually, in order to not upset Liam.

Hearing those words from Olivia put Liam’s heart at ease. “That’s good, that’s good. I’ll leave you two to yourselves then. This is your first time spending Valentine’s Day with him. Remember to take more pictures; I’d like to see how you two are celebrating.”

Olivia responded positively to all of his words, but deep down she was cursing at Alexander viciously. The call ended. Olivia inhaled deeply, bid Jared goodbye, then got into her car and sped off to the Devinly Hotel. What on earth is Alexander up to?
