Chapter 176: Was Her Love All an Act?
Olivia glanced at the photo. My photography skills are decent. โLetโs keep going?โ
Alexander watched as Olivia treated him like a mere prop, his brows knitting slightly. He should have rejected her nonsense, but his body remained motionless. He allowed Olivia to dart around, gathering a bundle of flowers and stuffing them into his arms. Holding the flowers, Alexander couldnโt help but feel that this sceneโฆwas oddly unsettling.
Before he could react, Olivia had already closed the distance, naturally linking her arm with his and leaning against him. Alexanderโs gaze deepened.
โClick.โ Olivia snapped the second photo.
Alexanderโs eyes flicked to the phone screen. In the photo, Olivia wore a sweet and joyful smile, nestled close to him like a woman deeply in love.
YetโฆAlexander turned to look at the woman who had now put some space between them. Oliviaโs face carried nothing but indifference, a far cry from the radiant figure in the photo.
She truly wasโฆa master actress! So, was her supposed devotion to him all just a performance?
Alexanderโs gaze fixed on Olivia, as if trying to uncover what was going on in her mind. Every move she had made recently was wildly unpredictable; they were reckless, daring, and mischievous, completely unlike her past self.
He had never cared to understand this woman, whom Liam had practically forced into his life. But nowโฆ
Olivia quickly took seven or eight photos, deciding it was enough to placate Liam. She then sent a few to him and, with a mischievous glint in her eye, casually forwarded a photo of her and Alexander holding hands to Georgina.
At a beauty salon, Georgina was in the middle of a skincare session when her phone suddenly buzzed with a text. Opening it, she found a picture Olivia had sent; it was two hands clasped tightly together. The photo showed no faces, but Georgina didnโt need a second guess to identify whose hands they were. In an instant, she was so furious that the face mask on her skin cracked.
โWith You, Under the Skyโ was a new variety show that Tobie daringly launched as a live broadcast. The first episode featured six participants, including Olivia.
The shoot took place in a remote mountain village, cut off from much of the urban world.
When Olivia arrived, the other participants hadnโt shown up yet, so she waited in a temporary lounge.
Jared had been preparing ever since learning Olivia would be part of the show. Today, he came armed with an oversized backpack.
โOlivia, the weatherโs hot, and there are loads of mosquitoes in the mountains. I bought all kinds of repellents for you,โ Jared said, pulling out sprays and bracelets and handing them to Olivia.
Olivia glanced at the items, torn between amusement and exasperation. โYou know the company wonโt reimburse you for theseโฆโ

Even their tickets for the trip were the cheapest ones available.
Jared grinned broadly. โDonโt worry, I paid for them myself.โ
Olivia raised an eyebrow. โYouโre fresh out of college. Whereโd you get the money for this?โ Just the pile of items in her hands probably cost over four figures.
Jared hesitated before stammering, โIโฆI saved up from part-time jobs.โ Then, as if to change the topic, he asked, โOlivia, why arenโt you wearing glasses today?โ
Olivia answered, โI donโt wear them while working.โ If S. Rona Academy students watch this show, wouldnโt my identity be completely exposed?
