Chapter 189: The Hunt for Olivia

After being completely outsmarted by Olivia, Jocelyn, Shawn, and Louis woke up the next day fuming. When they saw Olivia, they felt so frustrated that they could hardly stop themselves from glaring at her.

“It’s the last day, so I’m offering a special sale. Everything is just one gold bar,” Olivia announced with a grin. By tomorrow morning, the final count would determine the winner. This was everyone’s last chance to make a move. The group stared at Olivia with cautious eyes.

“Don’t look at me like that,” Olivia said sweetly. “I’m just making the best of the situation. You’re all free to find skill cards and use them on me. Problem solved, right?”

Louis frowned. “Skill cards only last twenty minutes. If you decide to hide, where are we supposed to find you?”

Olivia’s smile deepened, but she didn’t reply. Just then, all their walkie-talkies buzzed with an announcement.

“To enhance the gaming experience, all skill cards will now have unlimited duration. As long as they’re used before the final tally tomorrow morning, they’ll remain valid.”

The announcement left them momentarily stunned. But soon, their hesitation turned into excitement. Joycelyn immediately used the skill card she found yesterday to swap her gold bars with Hudson’s. Their biggest fear had been failing to locate someone within the skill card’s time limit. Now, with no time restriction, they had nothing to fear!

The final outcome was still anyone’s guess.

“I’ll take three chocolate bars, three packs of instant noodles, a Steam Pots base, and two bottles of water,” Louis declared confidently. At this point, having gold bars didn’t matter anymore. It was more important to eat well and prepare for the hunt. Louis trusted his endurance and speed. If he could collect enough skill cards today…

Those gold bars in Olivia’s hands? They’d be his by the end!

“Here you go,” Olivia said, handing him his order.

Chapter 109: The Hunt for Olivia

Shawn and Jocelyn came to the same realization. Instead of guarding their gold bars, they needed to focus on conserving energy and tracking Olivia down.

“I’ll have the same, but without the Steam Pots base,” Shawn said. Joycelyn, who ordered less, spent five gold bars. For now, Olivia was securely in the lead with 51 gold bars. Olivia cradled her gold bars, looking thoroughly pleased with herself. The others, meanwhile, looked at her as if she were an easy target waiting to be taken down.

“Good luck, everyone!” Olivia cheered them on enthusiastically after selling off all her items, acting as though she hadn’t noticed she was now everyone’s primary target.

The livestream audience quickly pieced things together.

“I have a strong hunch that Olivia’s about to face a group attack.”

“No need for a hunch; this is definitely happening!”

“Olivia’s gold bar count is higher than the other four combined. I’d bet a spicy snack pack they’ll use every skill card they have on her.”

“Is this turning into a real-life survival game?”

“What goes around comes around. I want to see how Olivia escapes this one!”

Thanks to her recent string of bold moves, the production team gave Olivia a dedicated segment. Once everyone had dispersed, Olivia calmly enjoyed her breakfast. Afterward, she packed all her gold bars into her backpack, leaving room only for a bottle of water and a small snack. Before leaving, she wrote something on a tablecloth and hung it outside her tent.
