Chapter 209: Team Trio Officially Disbanded

The second episode was filmed in Harwood.

“Wow, has Mr. Tobie finally grown a conscience, changing the location to a city this time?” Jocelyn almost cried with relief when she saw the filming location. She was done being mosquito bait in the mountains.

“When has Mr. Tobie ever been kind? And look at our outfits; does this seem like something shot in a city?” Shawn wasn’t as optimistic. Upon arrival, the production team had already instructed them to change into period costumes.

Since the livestream had already started, Shawn turned to Olivia. “This time, I’m ready! Just wait and see how I redeem myself, Olivia!”

Joycelyn and Louis shared the same determined expressions. After being completely outplayed by Olivia in the first episode, the three had formed an alliance before the show officially began. They aimed to defeat Olivia and claim victory!

Olivia simply replied, “Good luck.” Team Trio was feeling frustrated.

“Everyone, we have two new friends joining us today. Let me introduce them,” the host announced cheerfully.

Soon, two figures came into view: Whitney Nelson, dressed in an elegant white period costume, and Franklin Miller, tall and striking in black. Their appearance instantly set off the livestream’s comment section.

“Oh my goodness! They actually got Whitney on the show? My life is complete!”

“Whitney looks absolutely stunning! She’s the true goddess. Let me kiss the screen!”

“I’m crying! Franklin is so handsome it hurts.”

“I’m calling it now, Franklin’s team has already won!”

“Welcome, Whitney and Franklin, to our show. This time, the rule will be different. The participants will compete in pairs,” the host explained.

Hearing this, Franklin’s handsome face lit up with confidence. Having participated in numerous variety shows, his physical strength and speed had always given him an edge, ensuring victory every time. He was certain the other participants would be scrambling to team up with him.

But to his shock, Shawn immediately threw his lot in with Olivia. “Olivia, how about teaming up? I’ve got strength and can carry the team!”

Louis flexed his biceps and chimed in. “Olivia, pick me! I’ve got great stamina and pack a punch!”

Joycelyn protested, “You two are shameless! Can’t you let a weaker contestant have a chance? I… I can eat?”

Within seconds, the supposed alliance to take down Olivia crumbled. Meanwhile, Franklin stood on the sidelines, utterly ignored. “What’s going on? How could they overlook me, a proven champion, for a petite girl like her?”

Back in the livestream’s comment section:

“LOL! Don’t cry, Joycelyn, stand tall and fight! Olivia, look at Joycelyn!”

“I can’t stop laughing. What happened to their vow for revenge?”

“Let’s fight! Fight!”

“I declare Team Trio officially disbanded!”

“Side note, Olivia looks absolutely stunning in period costume!”

“Even for showbiz, this is way too fake. Olivia always manages to scrape by? Franklin dominates every show he’s on. If anyone deserves to be picked, it’s him. This feels scripted by the producers.”

“Agreed. Not sure why everyone hypes Olivia. Winning once by chance doesn’t make her unbeatable. Wake up, people!”

Of course, the production team wasn’t about to let the participants form teams on their own. Teams were decided by drawing lots. The final pairings were Olivia and Louis, Shawn and Whitney, and Franklin and Joycelyn.

As soon as the groups were announced, Louis found himself on the receiving end of envious, resentful glares from his two former teammates.
