While Kyson and the others plotted ways to embarrass Olivia during the sparring match, Felix addressed the group. “The students tend to go overboard, so your sparring partners will be reassigned.”

Shawn instinctively felt relieved but remained skeptical. Would Felix actually be so considerate?

As the students groaned in disappointment, Felix called out five names. The moment they saw them, Shawn and the others realized something wasn’t right. The individuals Felix summoned didn’t resemble students at all. Each one exuded an intimidating presence, their eyes sharp and focused. Their muscular physiques were evident even beneath their uniforms.

Louis laughed nervously. “Fight these guys? Let me tell you, with just one punch…”

Whitney and Joycelyn both turned toward Louis.

Louis continued, “…they’ll be kneeling and begging me not to die!”

The two were speechless.

“Seriously? That’s some quick backpedaling. What happened to all your martial arts training?” Joycelyn couldn’t help but shake her head.

Louis shrugged innocently. “It’s just for health, not actual combat, it’s all fluff. Anyway, can’t you tell? These guys are instructors, not cadets.”

The group froze in realization. Shawn’s expression turned grim. “This academy is meant to train top-tier military personnel. The instructors here are the cream of the crop, selected from the armed forces. In the field, any one of them could handle three or four opponents single-handedly.”

The guests had initially assumed their opponents would be students and had even tried befriending a few to gain some leverage. But Felix’s decision to bring in instructors caught them completely off guard.

“We’ll be your sparring partners today,” Felix said with a faint smile.

“Damn it, is he joining too?” Louis muttered in frustration.

“This is just sparring, right? Not actual combat…” Franklin’s usual confidence had vanished.

Felix replied solemnly, “Sparring means serious practice. But don’t worry, we’ll hold back and ensure no severe injuries.”

Franklin was dumbfounded. Severe injuries? One punch, and I’d be dead. This isn’t a variety show anymore!

The guests turned desperately to Tobie, who looked equally bewildered. He hadn’t anticipated the academy going to such extremes. Could the military have a personal vendetta against these guests and want to get rid of them?
