Daniel immediately called the legal department, instructing them to prolong Olivia’s termination case as long as possible. Winning or losing didn’t matter; the longer they stalled, the better!

Just as Daniel was scheming to bury Olivia in endless litigation, she had already walked out of the company gates with Jared by her side.

“Olivia, terminating the contract isn’t going to be easy. Do you have a good lawyer?” Jared asked.

Last year, a minor artist from the company had tried to extend their contract into the current year without resolution. The case had dragged on.

She had initially planned to tolerate the company and focus on earning money. She hadn’t expected them to stoop so low.

A lawyer? She didn’t have one. But…

Olivia pulled out her phone and dialed Brogan’s number.

“I’ve made up my mind about your proposal. I’ll agree to it, but only if you help me win this legal battle—quickly and decisively.”

Brogan was surprised to receive Olivia’s response so soon. When she mentioned the lawsuit, he paused briefly and then asked for the details.

After learning about the unscrupulous practices of Olivia’s company, Brogan became calm and composed. Excellent. Time to uphold the nation’s laws. A righteous cause.

“I’ll handle this, but come meet me in person first. We’ll discuss the specifics.”

Olivia ended the call, gave Jared a few instructions, and left.

Back at the company, Daniel, satisfied with his plans, spent the next day confidently waiting for Olivia to dig her own grave.

However, that morning, as he settled into his office, the elusive company boss suddenly arrived unannounced.

“What the heck have you done?” The boss stormed into the office, jabbing a furious finger at Daniel’s face.

Daniel was completely caught off guard.

“Boss, what’s the matter?”

“What’s the matter? You still have the nerve to ask me that? Why didn’t you tell me about Olivia’s termination request? Now she’s taken our company to court!” the boss roared.

Hearing this, Daniel chuckled.

“Boss, it’s just a small artist terminating their contract. Is it worth bothering you about? It’s just a lawsuit. I’ve already informed the legal department—they’ll send lawyers to handle it.”

“Just a lawsuit? You moron, you still don’t get it! Handle it? Go ahead and handle it for me!” The boss was livid, nearly spitting blood as he threw a stack of documents at Daniel’s face.

Daniel, baffled by the boss’s fury, picked up the documents and skimmed through them. One glance left him dumbstruck.

“A… military court?”

Daniel wished he could stare a hole through the papers.

“How… how did this happen? How did Olivia’s termination case end up in a military court?”

It didn’t make sense. Military courts didn’t handle civilian disputes.

“You’re asking me? How the heck should I know?” The boss was trembling with anger.

A military court? Though their company was small, they had never caused a scandal of this magnitude. And now, with a military court involved, their reputation was on the verge of imploding!

“You need to clean this up! If word gets out that our company was dragged into a military court, will we even have a business left?”

Daniel, utterly humiliated and drenched in his boss’s wrath, didn’t dare utter a single word of protest.
