When the school doctor pulled back Paul’s shirt and saw the extensive bruising, even his lips twitched in disbelief. Luckily, the academy’s medical facilities were top-notch. After an X-ray, it was confirmed that Paul only had a fractured rib, not a full break. Olivia let out a sigh of relief. Good, this shouldn’t cost me much in medical fees, right?
“I told you, it’s nothing serious. By the way, I didn’t catch your name. I’m Paul. Want to be friends?” Paul said with a smile.
Olivia glanced at Paul, whose behavior felt entirely out of place for a military academy. She replied casually, “Olivia.”
Paul nodded, then looked at the mask still on her face. “What’s up with the mask?”
Only then did Olivia remember she was still wearing the mask. “My identity is a bit special. It’s not convenient for me to show my face while teaching,” she explained, taking off the mask as she spoke.
Paul seemed ready to say something else, but the moment Olivia removed the mask, he froze. The school doctor walked over to give Paul some post-treatment instructions, but Paul acted like he hadn’t heard a word. His eyes were fixed on Olivia’s face, filled with shock, as though her face had sprouted flowers.
“I’ll leave you here to rest. I’m heading back to the combat arena,” Olivia said to Paul, but he didn’t respond. I didn’t hit his head, did I? Why does he look so dazed?
After saying a few more words to the unresponsive Paul, Olivia finally left. Even after she was gone, Paul remained in a state of shock.
A while later, Marshall arrived. Just as he was about to check on his friend, Paul suddenly sprang off the bed like he had been possessed.
“What the heck? Are you trying to get yourself killed? Your rib’s fractured, and you’re bouncing around like this?” Marshall yelled.
Paul ignored him and grabbed Marshall’s arm. “That Olivia… doesn’t she look like someone to you?”
Marshall stared at him, bewildered. “Looks like someone? What kind of nonsense is that? Even with a mask, she’s obviously a person.”

Paul’s mouth twitched. “Forget it!” he snapped. Before Marshall could ask further, Paul stormed toward the door.
“Where are you going now?” Marshall asked, completely lost.
“Home!” Paul shouted without looking back. She looks so much like her!
Back at the Kenneth mansion, Paul went straight to the library and pulled out an old photo album. The album was clearly aged, and its yellowed pages bore photographs that had long since faded. +8 Pearls
Paul quickly flipped to a specific picture—a young girl sitting alone beneath a tree. The girl in the photo bore an uncanny resemblance to Olivia. However, where Olivia’s features were vibrant and striking, the girl in the photo exuded a quiet, serene charm. The similarity in their brows and eyes, though, was undeniable.
“If Grandpa finds out you’re messing with his cherished album again, are you ready to lose your legs?”
The teasing voice came from the doorway. Leaning against the frame was Brody, the Kenneth family’s second son, wearing an expression identical to Paul’s—unsurprising, as they were twins.
Paul froze, then turned to look at his brother, Brody. Brody walked over and glanced at the photo Paul was staring at. “You’re looking at Grandma’s picture?”
Paul stayed silent for a moment. “Brody, have you ever seen Grandma?”
Brody rolled his eyes. “I was born one minute before you. If you haven’t seen her, how could I have?”
Their grandmother had passed away from illness long before they were born.
“Do you think it’s possible for two unrelated people to look so alike?” Paul asked.
Brody raised an eyebrow and pointed first at Paul, then at himself. “You tell me.”
What’s gotten into him today? Why’s he acting like he’s possessed? And what’s with these ridiculously dumb questions?
