Chapter 323: Surprised?

“Can’t be taken? How is that possible?” Amelia yelled, clearly frustrated. “Which company do they belong to? How is it that even Starlit Entertainment couldn’t get them?”

As one of the three major players in the entertainment world, Starlit Entertainment held an unshakeable position in the industry. No other agency or independent studio would dare act without considering Starlit’s influence.

The secretary, startled by Amelia’s reaction, frowned and gave her a warning glance. “Amelia, how dare you act like this in front of Ms. Liliana?”

Ms. Liliana hadn’t even spoken yet, and Amelia, a newcomer, had the audacity to challenge her? How bold!

The secretary’s comment caused Amelia to pause. She instinctively glanced at Liliana, realizing her outburst had been too extreme and inappropriate for someone of her position.

“Ms. Liliana… I just thought something was off, and I acted impulsively… I apologize… please don’t take offense…” Amelia said, trying to smooth things over.

Liliana, although not impressed by Amelia, couldn’t help but be intrigued by the secretary’s words. “Why can’t they be poached? If Olivia can offer them something, Starlit could offer them twice as much. Didn’t you tell them that if they work with Olivia, Starlit will do everything to block their future projects?”

The secretary replied, “Ms. Liliana, two of Olivia’s main actors, Louis and Eugene, are from Zenith Entertainment…”

While Starlit was a giant, Zenith was no small player either. As soon as Zenith Entertainment was mentioned, Liliana understood the situation.

“Louis is a new star at Zenith, and Eugene is under their protection. Why would Zenith let these two go to Olivia?” Amelia asked, bewildered.

Louis and Eugene were out of Olivia’s reach. Liliana, however, wasn’t surprised in the least. She turned to Amelia and slowly asked, “Do you not know who runs Zenith Entertainment?”

Amelia instinctively answered, “Isn’t it Vance?”

Liliana responded, “Do you know who Vance really is? Vance is the second son of the Wilson family.”

Although Vance dabbled in the entertainment industry as a side interest, he hadn’t announced his connection to the Wilson family, and most in the industry didn’t realize that Zenith Entertainment was a family business.

In that moment, Amelia froze. She had found it strange at the time. But if Vance was the second son of the Wilson family, it made sense. However, she remembered that only Liam from the Wilson family had been somewhat kind to Olivia; the rest of them had ignored her completely.

Why would the second son of the Wilson family suddenly support Olivia by sending his top stars to her? Amelia was full of questions but couldn’t discuss the Wilson family with the secretary present. She decided to suppress her confusion for now.

“Forget Louis and Eugene; what about the other three? Are they also from Zenith?” Liliana asked, shifting her focus to the three other unfamiliar actors.

The secretary’s face grew even more complicated. “Ms. Liliana, before I explain about them, you should take a look at these documents first.” The secretary handed Liliana the prepared files.
