Amelia eagerly leaned forward, wanting to see what was in the documents. Liliana flipped the pages, and the first one that caught her attention was Lucas’s profile. The heir to Thompson Group? Liliana’s frown deepened as she looked over the details. Thompson Group mostly dealt with investment industries. Though it wasn’t in the same field as the Kenneth family’s business, it was still a prominent family in high society.
“Are you sure you’ve got the right person?” Liliana asked, her skepticism evident. She couldn’t believe that an heir to such a powerful family would be involved in a low-budget movie with limited funding. Had Lucas lost his mind?
The secretary replied, “Yes, it’s him. And the other young man is the heir to Moore Group.” The secretary’s continued revelations felt like bombshells going off in their minds. One was from Thompson Group, and the other from Moore Group? These two young heirs from top-tier families were completely out of Olivia’s league. It wasn’t just hard to get them for a movie; even the most famous actors had difficulty interacting with these elite families. But Olivia had managed to get both of them to join her film as actors. Had she done something extraordinary in her past life? The elders from the Thompson and Moore families didn’t object? Even Liliana was taken aback. No wonder the secretary had said it was impossible to poach them.
Although the Thompson and Moore families were not as influential as the Kenneth family, they were still among the top elite families. Even Starlit Entertainment, as powerful as it was, would hold little weight in front of these two heirs. If they were willing, their families had the resources to create a company on par with Starlit Entertainment. Liliana’s frown deepened. She couldn’t figure out how Olivia managed to convince Lucas and Benjamin to follow her.
It was clear that, as the secretary had said, the first four actors were completely out of reach. Amelia then asked, “What about the other woman?” The secretary answered, “Her name is Mia, and she’s the daughter of Davis Group. But a few months ago, she fell ill from the shock and needed urgent medical treatment.” The secretary paused. “After Mia signed with Olivia, she suddenly had the money to pay her father’s medical bills. I suspect Olivia provided it.”
“How much money?” Liliana asked. The secretary replied, “About 112,000 dollars.” Liliana narrowed her eyes. “Offer her 280,000 dollars, with the condition that she agrees to terminate her contract with Olivia; Starlit will cover any breach fees.” The secretary quickly went to find Mia’s contact and called her in front of Liliana. At that time, Mia was sitting next to Olivia, going over a script. The phone rang, and Mia answered immediately.
“Is this Ms. Mia?” Mia answered, “Yes.” “Hello, I’m from Starlit Entertainment. We’re interested in having you join us. Are you interested?” Mia was shocked. “Sorry, I’ve already signed with another company.” “That’s fine. If you agree to join us, we’ll offer you 280,000 dollars upfront and cover all your contract termination fees.”
