“It seems you’ve met a true expert,” the doctor remarked, withdrawing his hand and looking at Daxton thoughtfully.

Beside him, Benjamin, anxious about Daxton’s condition, quickly asked, “What do you mean?”

The doctor explained, “If you hadn’t mentioned that someone had already diagnosed Daxton with heart damage from medication, I might not have noticed it immediately myself. The drug doses affecting your heart are so small they’re nearly undetectable. I wouldn’t have caught it without several confirmations.”

“That’s why I say, the person who diagnosed you after just one check must be a master.”

Daxton was momentarily stunned. He had assumed Olivia had only a superficial knowledge of traditional medicine, especially considering her young age.

“So, what should I take for my condition?” Daxton inquired.

The doctor shook his head. “While I can tell your heart is affected by some drug, I can’t determine which one it is. Since someone has already pinpointed your condition, why not consult them for a treatment plan?”

Daxton was embarrassed. He hadn’t expected Olivia’s expertise in traditional medicine to be so profound, and thus hadn’t asked her further. Now, it seemed he would have to seek her out again.

Remembering how pitifully he had acted in front of Olivia just a few days ago made Daxton’s face flush with embarrassment.

After leaving the doctor’s, Daxton turned to Benjamin. “Benjamin…”

“Grandpa?” Benjamin responded.

“There’s something I’d like to discuss with you,” Daxton said.

“Go ahead.”

“Could you find a way to bring Olivia home tonight?” Daxton asked earnestly.

Bring Olivia home? In an instant, Benjamin’s usually cool demeanor turned bright red.

“Grandpa… what… what are you talking about? We’re just classmates…”

Daxton’s lips twitched slightly. “What are you thinking? I need her to look at my illness! With my legs like this, how am I supposed to go to her?”

Benjamin immediately calmed down. “You should have said so earlier…”

Daxton, noticing Benjamin’s real interest in Olivia, was acutely aware Benjamin wasn’t indifferent to her.

Benjamin hesitated for a long time before texting Olivia to ask if she was free for dinner that evening. Then, he received her response.
