Chapter 40: Olivia! Don’t Attack Your Own People

Olivia vaguely remembered that Vance owned an entertainment company.

“Not interested.”

“Olivia, are you refusing because you think my brother won’t approve?” Vance asked.

Although he hadn’t met Olivia before, he’d heard plenty about her from the Wilson family. One thing that stood out was Olivia’s unparalleled love for Alexander.

Olivia looked at Vance with a baffled expression.

“If you’re sick, get it treated.”

Vance gave her a knowing wink. “Olivia, don’t worry. Alex already gave his approval.”

With her supposed deep feelings for Alex, there was no way Olivia would refuse!

“I refuse,” Olivia said flatly, her expression unchanged.

Vance was speechless. What happened to the undying love?

“Wait! Olivia, you didn’t hear me wrong, did you? Alex agreed to this—how could you reject it?” Vance stared at her in disbelief.

Olivia rolled her eyes, opened the car door, and got inside.

“If he agreed, let him sign with you.”

Vance’s entertainment company was undeniably powerful, but Olivia had no intention of having anything to do with Alexander in this life. She planned to avoid anything even remotely connected to the Wilson family. Besides, before marrying Alexander in her past life, she had been persuaded by Amelia to sign with another entertainment company.

Vance was dumbfounded. Wait! Something isn’t adding up here!

Vance climbed into the passenger seat.

Olivia was stunned. Vance looked utterly shameless. “Olivia, if you don’t agree, I’m not leaving! Wherever you go, I’ll go too!”

Olivia glanced at the shameless Vance and raised an eyebrow. “You’re sure about that?”

Vance lifted his chin, determined to stick it out.

Without another word, Olivia buckled her seatbelt, floored the gas pedal, and took off.

Vroom!

The red Ferrari turned into a streak of lightning, vanishing in a flash!

In the passenger seat, Vance was stunned by the speed. The scenery outside blurred into streaks, and the intense acceleration pinned him to the seat.

Within moments, Vance’s face turned green. Clinging desperately to the door handle, Vance felt like he was on the verge of death.

Meanwhile, Olivia rested one hand on her temple and the other on the steering wheel. Glancing casually at Vance, whose face was pale, she said calmly, “You can still get out now.”

Vance stammered, “I’m not… ugh!”

For the rest of the ride, Vance’s mouth was too busy to speak. At that moment, he truly understood the meaning of lightning-fast terror.

Mom, save me!

Ten minutes later, Olivia parked the car in front of the securities company. Vance practically tumbled out of the passenger seat. As soon as he hit the ground, he grabbed a nearby trash can and threw up. For a moment, he was sure he’d been about to meet his maker.

Olivia glanced at Vance before heading into the securities company.

In her past life, after marrying Alexander, Olivia refused all financial support from him and had to earn money on her own.

Fresh out of school, she had tried acting for a while. Thanks to her looks, she landed some decent roles.
