Olivia skillfully handed over her ID and bank card to open her trading account. Unlike in her previous life, this time she wasn’t trading stocks to stay close to Alexander, but to get far away from him.

By the time Olivia finished setting up her account, Vance finally staggered over, still pale and weak from the car ride.

“Olivia, are you really not considering joining my company? If you agree, I guarantee top-tier resources, and you can name your price. You wouldn’t even have to spend much time—just participate in a few key concerts!” Vance pleaded.

Olivia didn’t even lift her eyes, her focus entirely on recalling the stock she was searching for. Seeing her indifference, Vance’s expression shifted, and he adopted a pitiful tone.

“Olivia, I’m really struggling here… You have no idea how fierce the competition is in the entertainment industry right now. Handsome men and beautiful women are everywhere, and people keep mocking Zenith Entertainment’s artists for being nothing but pretty faces.”

Olivia didn’t even look up.

“They’re right.”

Vance thought, Olivia, that’s just mean!

“Olivia, please help me! Zenith Entertainment really needs an artist like you!” Vance continued, now resorting to shameless flattery.

“Get lost and stop bothering me,” Olivia said impatiently.

Vance was out of options. He stared at Olivia, his mind racing as he recalled bits of gossip he’d heard from the Wilson family. Then, an idea struck.

“Olivia, could it be that you’re just shy?” he asked.

Olivia finally looked up, her expression one of utter disbelief.

“Olivia, we’re family. Do you think I don’t know how you feel about Alex? My brother might be a little cold, but don’t worry. If you join my company, I’ll personally deliver Alex to you—gift-wrapped!” Vance said, winking exaggeratedly.

Even heroes fall for beauty! he thought. With Alex’s looks, you couldn’t find a second man like him in the whole country.

Vance decided to go all in. He didn’t believe for a second that Olivia could resist a “beauty trap.” Now Olivia was sure he was a complete idiot.

“I’m not interested in Alex,” she said bluntly.

Vance didn’t buy it.

“You’re not interested? Then why do you cook for him every day? Stay up in the living room until midnight waiting for him? Wash his clothes by hand?”

If that’s not love, then what is?

Listening to Vance list all the things she used to do for Alexander, Olivia wanted nothing more than to slap her past self.

Olivia chose to play dead, completely ignoring Vance’s endless chatter. Finally, she found the stock she remembered from her past life. Olivia took out the $28,000 check and invested all of it in that stock.

Vance leaned over to look and nearly choked.

“Olivia, are you joking? You’re putting $28,000 into that stock?”

The stock in question was a plummeting American company’s stock, which had dropped from $11 per share to a shocking $0.30. And it was still falling. Anyone with half a brain would know that buying such a stock was a one-way ticket to financial ruin.

“Do you even realize that capital is gutting this company? It’s on the verge of bankruptcy. If you buy it, you’ll lose everything,” Vance said, genuinely trying to warn her.

Olivia knew. Of course, she knew. This company was a veteran gaming firm that had been in business for decades. Since going public, its stock had been in a continuous decline, hitting historical lows under the manipulation of capital. It was teetering on the edge of collapse. But Olivia also knew something else. In just two weeks, this stock would become a legend in the stock market.
