Chapter 413: Teaching Benjamin a Lesson in Front of Daxton

Walden grew increasingly angry as he thought about it. Back when they were competing for Gianna, Daxton was no match for him. Yet, to his disbelief, Daxton had stooped so low now. Unable to win Gianna’s heart, he let Benjamin chase after Liliana? Is this something a person would do?

“Grandpa, calm down. I think Liliana herself doesn’t even know about this. You know her current situation. Our family has always had a poor relationship with the Moore family. I don’t think Liliana would be happy with that Benjamin. So… why don’t you take this opportunity at the birthday celebration to personally visit the Moore family and give them a stern warning not to entertain any thoughts about Liliana?” Brody saw his chance and quickly put forward his idea.

“I’ll go,” Walden suddenly said.

A slight joy flashed in Brody’s heart. Walden added, “And bring my newly ordered cane.”

Brody was a bit surprised. “A cane?” Walden was in good health; he normally didn’t need one. Walden smiled slightly. “I want to teach Benjamin a lesson in front of Daxton!”

Brody fell silent. Poor Benjamin! Just as Brody thought it was all settled, just unfortunate for Benjamin, the study door was suddenly pushed open. Liliana, her face bandaged, entered the room carrying two cups of tea.

“Grandpa, did Brody upset you?” Liliana noticed the shattered crystals on the floor.

Walden, “It’s not your Brody that upset me, it’s Daxton.” The smile in Liliana’s eyes disappeared the moment she heard the name “Daxton.” “Pardon me?”

Before Walden could finish, he suddenly realized the situation wasn’t right. Brody had said Liliana was unaware of Benjamin’s intentions, and perhaps it was best not to bring up this matter in front of Liliana to keep her unspoiled. Walden’s hesitance sent a slight shock through Liliana’s heart.

“Grandpa had already decided not to go to the Moore family’s celebration, right? Why get upset over them?” Liliana asked with a forced smile.
