“Did the world just glitch? ToxiQ actually apologized?”
“Are we sure this is an apology? What’s with the line ‘you guys are garbage’ – what the heck is that supposed to mean?”
Sitting at his desk, ToxiQ frowned. Garbage? I had meant to type “genius”! Damn autocorrect!
“Also, who the heck is this ‘great Taylor’ ToxiQ mentioned? Some hidden hacker legend?”
“Curious +1.”
ToxiQ wasn’t planning on replying anymore. But the second someone asked about his master, he immediately jumped back in.
“Taylor is the creator of the Wendigo Super Defense System!”
The hacker forum lost its mind. Wait, what? ToxiQ was here – watching them? And he actually dared to respond?
“So you’re ToxiQ? Dude, you’ve got some nerve showing up here.”
“You better cough up my lost data! Lvl me right now if you’ve got the guts!”
“Are you apologizing or picking a fight? What do you mean ‘you guys are trash?? So what if we suck? If you’re so good, why are you even apologizing?”
The hackers who had suffered massive losses from the Grim Reaper Knocking on Doors Virus were furious. Fine. This dude made a virus. They admitted defeat. But then he had the audacity to post a fake apology just to mock them for losing? That was crossing the line. Losing was one thing – but being humiliated? Hell no. It’s on.

ToxiQ was completely dumbfounded. He had followed his master’s instructions exactly – so why was everyone blowing up at him? He was great at coding, but social skills? Not so much. As he watched the hacker forum explode with rage, his brain stalled.
Meanwhile, Olivia received a grudging payment from Brogan. Seeing the extra digits in her account, she was in a fantastic mood.
With some time to kill, she checked the hacker forum to see how her cheap apprentice’s apology was being received. She opened the post and immediately saw a bunch of full-grown hackers smashing their keyboards in fury, all tearing into her tiny, innocent apprentice.
Olivia stared at the screen in disbelief. How did a simple apology turn into a full-blown forum war? She scrolled through the post. And then realized the problem. Her apprentice’s typos were legendary. Earlier, she had barely skimmed through it, not thinking much of it, but now? Wow. What was supposed to be a heartfelt apology had accidentally turned into a massive insult fest. He had tried to compliment the hackers on their “genius,” but he had mistyped it as “garbage.” If Olivia didn’t already know he was just a first grader, she would have sworn he did it on purpose.
Just as Olivia was still processing the disaster, Little Wendigo sent her a video from ToxiQ. She clicked play. On the screen, ToxiQ’s tiny face was all puffy from crying, fat tears plopping down one after another.
“Master… why are they being so mean to me… sniff… They’re calling me names… and I don’t even know what half the words mean… I had to look them up… and that’s when I found out they were insults… sob sob…”
Olivia didn’t know whether to laugh or sigh at the sight of her devastated little apprentice. Just imagining this five-year-old sitting there, carefully Googling every word, only to slowly realize he was getting flamed to hell…. She took a deep breath.

Then, she fired off a message. “Log back into the forum. I am about to avenge you.”
Still sniffling, ToxiQ obediently logged back in. On the hacker forum, a bunch of furious veterans was still ripping into ToxiQ. Then, out of nowhere, a new user appeared – “Taylor.”
“You all go silent when it’s time to crack the virus, but the second you’re behind a keyboard, you turn into internet tough guys? If you can’t keep up, just admit it. Bunch of amateurs – go home and find a new hobby. If you’ve got a problem, step up! If you lose, you own up to it!”
ToxiQ nearly fell out of his chair. Master… is a beast!
