Chapter 49: I Can Bully Too
Masonโs brows furrowed as he looked at Olivia and politely asked, โMs. Carter, has something happened?โ
Olivia glanced at the people in the room and shrugged. โNot much. This Mrs. Davis, from Davis Group, is demanding justice for her daughter, and my so-called mentor here is cheering her on, trying to get me kicked out of school.โ
Seeing Mason arrive, Olivia knew she didnโt have to lift another finger. As one of Liamโs most loyal allies, Mason was also one of Oliviaโs staunchest supporters as the Wilson familyโs chosen granddaughter-in-law.
Oliviaโs calm words made Masonโs face darken instantly.
โThey want you expelled from school?โ Mason asked.
Olivia nodded. โYes, and theyโre going about it in the most heavy-handed way possible.โ
Mason took a deep breath, his icy gaze sweeping over the room. His mere presence exuded an intimidating authority.
Mr. Grayson stared at Mason, finding him strangely familiar, though he couldnโt quite place him.
โHow would you like to handle this, Ms. Carter?โ Mason asked, already forming a plan but waiting for Oliviaโs input.
Olivia rested her chin on one hand, her eyes narrowing as she glanced at Mia and the others. Smiling, she said, โI have a bad habitโI never let grudges slide. Maybe itโs time I try out this whole bullying thing for myself.โ
Mason nodded knowingly.
Mrs. Davis, clearly annoyed, snapped, โStop wasting time. If youโre her family, take this useless girl and leave. Spare us all the embarrassment.โ
Masonโs tone turned steely. โNo one in St. Rona Academy has the authority to expel Ms. Carter.โ
Mrs. Davis let out a laugh of disbelief. โAnd who do you think you are? You think just because you say so, she canโt be expelled? My husband is an honorary board member of this school! Your words mean nothing here!โ
Mason raised an eyebrow. โHonorary board member? Luke Davis, correct?โ
Mrs. Davisโs face lit up with pride. โAt least you know who my husband is. Now, take her and leave before you embarrass yourself further!โ
Masonโs expression shifted to one of disdain. โAs of today, your husband will no longer hold the title of honorary board member at St. Rona Academy.โ
โYouโre joking! Who do you think you are to make such a claim? Iโโ Mrs. Davis began to yell, but Mr. Grayson suddenly jumped up, his face pale with realization.
โM-Mr. Shaw! I didnโt recognize you earlier! My apologies!โ Mr. Grayson stammered, breaking out into a cold sweat.
Mason gave him a cold look. โYou heard what I said earlier.โ
Mr. Grayson nodded repeatedly. โYes, sir. Iโll immediately arrange for Mr. Davis to step down from his position as honorary board member.โ
The announcement left everyone else in the room stunned.
โYouโre lying! My husband has donated so much money to this school! How can you make him step down?โ Mrs. Davis shrieked.
Mason replied coldly, โBecause the largest donor to St. Rona Academy is named Wilson.โ
Mrs. Davis froze, her face draining of color.
โYouโฆ Youโre with the Wilson family?โ she stammered.
Mr. Grayson answered for Mason, โThis is Mr. Liam Wilsonโs assistant.โ
The mention of Liam Wilson sent shivers down Mrs. Davisโs spine. The Wilson familyโs influence was unparalleled; their donations to the school dwarfed every other benefactor combined. They could replace anyone at St. Rona Academy with the snap of a finger.
Mrs. Davis stared at Mason, her arrogance crumbling into fear. She had never imagined this unassuming middle-aged man had such a formidable background.
