Chapter 50: Apologize to Olivia

Upon learning Mason was with the Wilson family, Mrs. Davis’s legs turned to jelly. She nearly fell out of her chair in panic. Mia sucked in a sharp breath. Everyone knew the Wilson family’s name, but how was Olivia connected to them?

“This… This must be a misunderstanding,” Mrs. Davis stammered, her demeanor completely hanging. The Wilson family was not someone she could afford to offend. If she angered them, the Davis family would be finished.

“For the slander you directed at Ms. Carter, the Wilson family’s legal team will pursue legal action,” Mason stated, his voice devoid of sympathy.

Hearing this, Olivia silently offered three seconds of mourning for Mrs. Davis and the Davis Group. The Wilson family’s legal team was famously undefeated.

Mrs. Davis panicked, realizing her daughter had misled her into thinking Olivia was just a powerless student. She grabbed Mia, who was still in shock.

“Mia, apologize to Olivia right now!” she demanded.

Mia couldn’t believe what was happening. She’d come to settle the score with Olivia, but now her mother was forcing her to apologize.

“I…” Mia hesitated.

“Apologies mean nothing. If there’s a case to argue, save it for the courtroom,” Mason said icily. The insults Mrs. Davis had hurled at Olivia were already enough to guarantee a lawsuit.

Desperate, Mrs. Davis tried to explain. “This is all a misunderstanding! I didn’t know this student was connected to the Wilson family!” She pointed at Emma. “It was her! She told me Olivia was a troublemaker. Everything I said came from her!”

Emma, already trembling in fear, was thrown under the bus. Her face turned ashen.

Mason turned his gaze to Emma. “Who is this?”

Before Emma could speak, Olivia lazily replied, “She’s my mentor. She lost a bet with me recently and said she’d leave the academy, but she’s still here.”

Emma’s heart sank. Olivia’s words were a death sentence.

Mason nodded slightly. He didn’t care about the details. If Olivia said Emma should leave, then she should leave.

“You know what to do,” Mason said, looking at Mr. Grayson.

Mr. Grayson didn’t hesitate. “Emma, as of today, you are no longer a teacher at St. Kow Academy. Pack your things and leave immediately.”

Emma collapsed to the floor, completely devastated. She had worked so hard to become a teacher at St. Rona Academy, but now it was all over.

“Olivia, it’s my fault! Please, let me stay!” Emma crawled to Olivia, begging through her tears.

Olivia calmly pulled Emma’s hand off her arm. “Ms. Kama, there’s a saying: A promise is a promise! You should remember it.”

Emma wailed, but Mr. Grayson quickly called security to escort her out.

As Emma was expelled from St. Rona Academy and Mrs. Davis sat trembling in fear, Mia was left in utter disbelief, staring blankly at the scene before her.
