Chapter 65: I Like Pink

Lucas gave Olivia a look like sheโ€™d just said the most absurd thing heโ€™d ever heard and whispered, โ€œYouโ€™re not seriously worried about Mr. Benjaminโ€™s safety, so youโ€™re trying to keep him out of the race, are you?โ€

Olivia rolled her eyes. โ€œYou need to keep your treatment going.โ€

Benedict, unaware of the actual situation, assumed Benjamin had said as much. The amused expression on his face showed a slight crack.

โ€œYouโ€™re joking, right? If Benjamin wasnโ€™t planning to race, why would he even come here?โ€ he asked, clearly skeptical.

Olivia replied casually, โ€œHeโ€™s just here to watch. Weโ€™re heading out for dinner afterward.โ€

Benedict was speechless. Benjamin looked at Olivia.

She wants to have dinner with me? In that case, skipping the race doesnโ€™t sound so bad.

Upon noticing Benjaminโ€™s lack of objection, Benedictโ€™s face stiffened further, his smile faltering as a hint of desperation seeped through.

โ€œBenjamin, this isnโ€™t funny. You know how cocky Hudsonโ€™s been today. Nobody here stands a chance against him but you! Iโ€™ve put down a big bet on you to winโ€ฆโ€

Realizing Benjamin wasnโ€™t refuting Oliviaโ€™s claim, Benedict turned his attention to her, sensing her influence over him. Putting on a friendly smile, he said, โ€œMiss, how about this? Once Benjamin finishes the race, Iโ€™ll treat you both to dinner. You can have anything you want.โ€

Olivia observed the subtle shifts in Benedictโ€™s expression. If she had only suspected him before, she was now certain. Benedict was the one who framed Benjamin. If Benjamin skipped the race, Benedictโ€™s entire plan would fall apart. He had been sucking up to Benjamin all along, waiting for the right moment to remove him without arousing suspicion.

โ€œWaiting around is boring,โ€ Olivia said nonchalantly. โ€œHow about you get me a car, and Iโ€™ll race too?โ€

Benjaminโ€™s eyes lit up immediately. From the moment theyโ€™d met, heโ€™d been itching for a chance to race against her.

Benedict was caught off guard. It was the first time heโ€™d encountered a girl asking to join a race. โ€œWellโ€ฆโ€

โ€œIf itโ€™s a problem, weโ€™ll just go have dinner,โ€ Olivia said, feigning regret.

Benedict couldnโ€™t let Benjamin leave. Gritting his teeth, he smiled. โ€œThatโ€™s fine. How about you take my car?โ€

He led her to his silver-gray sports car and handed her the keys. Olivia slid into the driverโ€™s seat. While Benedict chatted with Benjamin, she deftly slipped the packet ofโ€ฆ

โ€œHow is it?โ€ Benedict asked.

Olivia shook her head. โ€œNot good.โ€

Benedict blinked in confusion. This car cost me millions to modify! How could it not be good? Does she even know what sheโ€™s talking about?

โ€œItโ€™s too ugly,โ€ Olivia added.

Benedict glanced at his sleek, silver-gray sports car, which heโ€™d considered one of the most stylish vehicles tonight.

โ€œI like pink,โ€ Olivia said flatly.

Benedict nearly choked.

Lucas, standing nearby, blinked in disbelief. Pink? Since when is Olivia into pink?

Benedictโ€™s eye twitched as he processed the insult to his prized car. All those millions spent, only for it to be called ugly because it wasnโ€™t pink.

Olivia ignored Benedict and turned to Lucas. โ€œGet me a car.โ€

Lucas was dumbfounded. โ€œWhat? Do I look like a parking lot to you?โ€

Benjamin glanced at him, his meaning clear.

Lucas sighed in resignation. โ€œFine, follow me, your highness. Iโ€™ll find you a car. A pink one, no less.โ€

Where the hell am I supposed to find a pink car? he thought bitterly as he led Olivia to the parking area to search.
