Chapter 87: Hudson Has Transferred
Sophia trailed behind Olivia awkwardly. In the past, whatever she said, Olivia would listen. This was the first time Olivia had outright rejected her.
โLivi, Iโm just worried about youโฆโ Sophia said, her voice laced with grievance as she instinctively glanced at Lucas. Usually, the boys only paid attention to her. But nowโฆ
โOlivia, slow down. Canโt you tell youโre swaying with every step?โ Lucas ignored Sophia completely, focusing only on Oliviaโs condition. Sophia was stunned.
โYouโre so noisy,โ Olivia shot Lucas a glare. Lucas immediately shut his mouth. Watching Lucas listen to Olivia so obediently, Sophiaโs eyes filled with shock. Sure, Lucas had a better temper than Benjamin, but he was still a young master from a top-tier familyโnot someone easy to approach. Sophia had worked so hard at St. Rona Academy but hadnโt even managed to step into Lucasโs circle. How had Olivia pulled this off?
When they arrived at the infirmary, the school nurse wasnโt there. Olivia turned to leave but was stopped by Lucas, who insisted she wait for the nurse to return. Olivia sat down in a chair, and Sophia quickly took the seat next to her.
โLivi, how did you and Lucas meet?โ Sophia asked softly, voicing the question that had been nagging her. Olivia glanced at her.
โIn a fight.โ
Sophia blinked, startled. โWhat?โ In a fight? โArenโt you a girl? Fighting with others isnโt very ladylike, is it?โ Sophiaโs voice grew louder, almost as if she wanted Lucas to hear. Olivia smirked faintly.
Something about the whole situation felt off to Sophia. In just a month, Olivia seemed like a completely different person. Sophia instinctively felt that something must have happened. She wanted to press Olivia for answers, but Olivia simply closed her eyes, signaling that she didnโt want to talk.
Left with no choice, Sophia pulled out her phone and logged into St. Rona Academyโs forum to see if there was any news. The moment she scrolled through, she froze. The forumโs homepage was filled with posts about Olivia. The initial post mocking Olivia had completely backfired, turning into a public spectacle.
โIโm here to bow to Missy. Itโs my fault I couldnโt recognize greatness. Thud, thud, thud!โ
โEveryone, gather around to witness this epic self-own!โ
โAsher exchanged contact info on the spotโwhat kind of god-tier treatment is this?โ
Olivia had participated in the campus festivalโs performance showcase and taken first place? And on top of thatโฆ Asher had personally presented her the award and publicly asked for her contact info? Sophiaโs eyes were practically bulging out of her head. Has the world gone mad? How had she not known that Olivia could play the piano and had an incredible singing voice? The more Sophia read, the more she felt like the Olivia in the posts wasnโt the same country bumpkin she used to know.
When Sophia returned to the homepage, her attention was instantly grabbed by a newly posted thread.
โThe Music Prince, Hudson, is transferring to St. Rona Academy! Iโll livestream it!โ
โHudsonโs transferring to our school?โ Sophia exclaimed in shock, unable to hold back her words. Lucas, who had been texting Benjamin to update him on Oliviaโs condition, immediately looked up when he heard that.
โWhoโs transferring?โ Did he just hear his rivalโs name? Sophia handed her phone to Lucas, showing him the post. Lucas stared at the photo of Hudson attached in the thread.
โHudsonโs really transferring!โ he blurted out, turning to Olivia. Olivia opened her eyes, visibly annoyed.
โWhat does that have to do with me?โ Lucas was speechless. What does it have to do with her?
Given Hudsonโs attitude toward Olivia yesterday, Lucas was willing to bet his life that Hudsonโs transfer was absolutely because of her!
