Chapter 88: Do You Know Hudson?

“Livi, do you know Hudson?” Sophia instinctively glanced at Olivia. Olivia closed her eyes and replied casually, “No.”

Lucas immediately relaxed, but he still quietly sent a text to Benjamin. Sophia wasn’t surprised by Olivia’s answer. Of course not. Someone like Olivia couldn’t possibly know Hudson.

“Livi, since you like music, how could you not know who Hudson is?” Sophia said with a feigned look of confusion, then continued, “Hudson comes from a renowned musical family. His father is the CEO of Sullivan Group, and his mother is a world-famous violinist. He’s been studying violin since he was a child, and even though he’s only in his early twenties, he’s already performed in multiple world tours…”

Sophia suddenly seemed to remember something and added with a smile, “Oh, right. During the exchange program I attended this past month, there was a gala, and Hudson was there too. He’s such a gentle person and taught me so many things.”

Sophia spoke casually, but her words subtly hinted at a connection with Hudson. In reality, she had only seen Hudson at the gala and hadn’t even spoken to him. Ever since returning to school, she couldn’t shake the feeling that Olivia had changed drastically. Sophia felt compelled to highlight her own uniqueness—hoping to see that familiar look of envy on Olivia’s face.

“Okay,” Olivia replied indifferently.

Sophia hadn’t expected such a flat reaction. Olivia didn’t even bother to open her eyes.

“Well, since he’s transferring to our school, and you like music, maybe I could introduce you two?” Sophia suggested with a smile, testing the waters.

This time, Olivia didn’t even respond. It felt like throwing a punch into cotton—no reaction at all. Sophia’s attempt to flaunt herself fell completely flat.

Sophia’s mood soured. Her first day back was already off to a rough start. Olivia’s attitude toward her was no longer submissive like it had been before. And Lucas, sitting nearby, didn’t seem to notice her beauty at all. He hadn’t even bothered to speak a single extra word to her. This was entirely outside Sophia’s expectations.

Frustrated, she returned to scrolling through the campus forum. The Hudson thread had been updated with new content. The post now included several photos. Hudson’s strikingly handsome face in the pictures made Sophia’s heart skip a beat. But when she got to the last photo, her heart gave a startled jump. In the final picture, Hudson was standing beside a beautiful young woman.

The post’s caption read: “Breaking news! Campus beauty Claire is showing Hudson around. Honestly, they look perfect together. I’m jealous.”

At St. Rona Academy, the title of “campus beauty” was always a hot topic. The debate usually centered around Amelia from the dance department and Claire from the music department. However, Amelia had been absent from campus lately due to her foray into the entertainment industry, leaving Claire as the general consensus for the title. As for Sophia, though her soft, delicate looks were attractive, she couldn’t quite measure up to Amelia or Claire.

Hudson’s transfer stirred something in Sophia. Meanwhile, at St. Rona Academy, Claire, dressed in an elegant white dress, walked gracefully beside Hudson. The sunlight bathed Hudson, giving his already handsome face a soft, glowing aura. Even Claire, who had seen her fair share of attractive men, couldn’t help but steal a few extra glances at him.
