Chapter 208

Xavier saw Easton walk away and thought, “Mr. Garcia, don’t go. Our true love is still at the police station!”

Xavier felt relieved that Easton was no longer fixated on Jennifer.

Xavier took a deep breath and thought, “It will be difficult to find evidence.”

Natalie failed to reach Luna on the phone. Natalie checked Luna's location and saw that Luna was moving out of the city.

Natalie knew Luna was in trouble. She must go to save Luna.

Natalie got in the car, started it, and was about to set off. Suddenly, the passenger seat door was opened. Easton sat in the passenger seat.

Natalie frowned, stopped the car, looked at Easton, and said coldly, “Get out.”

Easton met her icy gaze and said, “I’ll go with you.” It was rare for Natalie to be so cold. Her expression was tense. It indicated something was wrong.

Natalie was surprised that he got into her car. She looked at him mockingly and said, “Mr. Garcia, don’t you go to be with your true love? Aren’t you worried your true love will be in trouble?”

Whenever Jennifer felt wronged in the past, Easton would always stay by her side. He was worried that something might happen to her.

Easton smiled and asked, “Natalie, are you bothered by me going to see her?”

Natalie shook her head and felt his question funny. She thought, "Wasn’t it always like this?"

Natalie said, “I’m not bothered. Why should I be? I have paid no attention to anything about you since you handed me the divorce papers at her birthday party. You two junk deserve each other. Stop pestering me. Get out of the car!”

Easton said, “Natalie, can you please not speak so harshly?”

Natalie said, “If I had spoken more nicely and humbly, I would’ve been bullied by you long ago. Get out! This is my car.”

Natalie would never humbly beg Easton to give her a second glance again. She would never do it.

Natalie was worried about Luna. Natalie had asked Carl to call the police and bring people over. There was no time to waste.

Easton was stubborn. He refused to get out of the car. Natalie could only drive to catch up to Luna.

She drove fast. Her driving skills were smooth.

It was the first time Easton realized that Natalie not only knew how to drive but was also skilled at it. Her car performed well, with quick acceleration and seamless lane changes. She looked more like a professional race car driver.

Easton watched her skillful driving and was impressed by her precise judgment of distance.

Easton was surprised and said, “Natalie, you’re good at driving.”

Natalie smiled bitterly. Somehow, Easton’s words still pained her heart. She said, “Mr. Garcia, do you think I’m good for nothing?”

Natalie thought, "Well, to him, I’m just an ungracious woman from an impoverished town. Apart from cooking, I didn’t know how to do anything else. When his legs were paralyzed, I had to take care of him. When I was 20 years old, I prepared for my graduate exams. I studied hard whenever he was asleep or working. I felt busy and tired every day. Natalie saw the heavy trucks ahead, pushed all distracting thoughts from her mind, and focused on driving.

When Natalie reached the traffic jam, she called Luna.

But Luna’s phone was still unreachable.

Natalie was anxious. Luna was stubborn and might fight with them. Natalie was worried that Luna might get hurt. Glancing at the GPS on her car’s big computer screen, Natalie noticed Luna’s location had shifted outside the city.

Luna got to the party before Natalie. Luna was exposed.

Natalie was worried and called Carl.

Carl said, “Natalie.”

Natalie said, “Have the police officers arrived? Luna has been outside the city.”

Carl said, “Natalie, I’m with the police officers. We’re close to Luna’s location. Don’t worry, I’ll bring her back.”

Natalie said, “Okay! Make sure Luna stays safe.” Natalie hung up. Noticing the cars ahead had stopped, she was anxious. Natalie gripped the steering wheel tightly and thought, "Why is there a traffic jam suddenly?"

Natalie was anxious. The honking behind her made her more irritated.

Easton looked ahead and said, “Natalie, calm down. There are many dump trucks on this road. There may be a car accident ahead.”

Natalie was anxious, but her car was stuck in the middle of the traffic and couldn’t move. She ignored Easton.

From this spot to upstairs, it took only a few seconds for Murray.

When Murray went upstairs, something was wrong. As soon as Natalie pushed the door open, Easton and Colin came over. Then Jennifer screamed.

Natalie thought, "That’s the whole story. Jennifer is cunning."

Natalie glanced at Easton and felt puzzled by his actions.

Natalie said bluntly, “Mr. Garcia, you brought so many people to catch someone in the act. You made so many efforts. Do you also want to get the Spencer family?”

Easton looked at her meaningfully. Even if he explained, she wouldn’t believe him.
