Natalie agreed and planned to meet Tiana early in the morning.

They arranged to meet at a club near the hotel. When it was time for the wedding, they would go directly from there.

Tiana was dressed up today as well, in a pink outfit that was both sweet and elegant, making her round face look stunning.

Natalie was dressed up today too, in a pink gown with a row of diamonds on the front, which made her skin look even more perfect.

She wore simple jewelry, staying low-key since Jennifer was known to take whatever caught her eye, so it was better not to be too flashy.

Tiana looked at her breathtaking face with envy, wishing for that flawless skin. She couldn’t resist wanting to reach out and give a playful pinch.

Natalie sat next to her, looked at Tiana, and said, “Tiana, you’ve lost weight again.”

Tiana said, “Ever since I started working at the office, I’ve been so busy, walking thousands of steps every day. You know, managing models means eating less and moving more. That’s how I got thinner, right?”

“My once round face has turned into a sharp one.” She held her face with a joyful smile. She loved her looks now – maybe not the most beautiful, but definitely her favorite.

Becoming the person she loved to be meant she was not far from success. Tiana said, “I brought back all this seafood from the island. Let’s have lunch first.”

Natalie gave a charming smile as she picked up her fork to start her meal.

Tiana took out her phone to share her recent achievements with her. She said, “Natalie, those men’s clothing lines of yours are selling like crazy! Make sure to maintain good quality."

"No loose threads, nothing! Today’s customers are very picky–we have to do every little thing well.”

Natalie knew it would turn out well. She quickly messaged Carl, asking the factory manager to double-check everything and ensure there were no issues.

Seeing Tiana so excited made Natalie’s eyes shine. “Tiana, you’ve improved yourself so much since leaving Vance."

Tiana chuckled, feeling completely at ease, and said, “Natalie, it’s not about being better. After getting rid of those notions, I found the world outside was so exciting. There’s no way a few words from Vance could hold me back."

“Being with him always made me anxious and uncertain, but after letting him go, it feels like my future is bright and full of possibilities.”

Natalie felt the same way. She thought, “Isn’t I perfectly fine on my own after leaving Easton?”

They ate and chatted. Meanwhile, over at Vance’s side, his mood wasn’t great because his mom didn’t actually show up for his wedding.

Not many people came. Including the Simpson family and Khloe’s friends, there were just a little over ten tables of guests.

Jason felt embarrassed. After all, he was the second Mr. Simpson from the Simpson family, and yet they had so few guests attending.

Nick was at the entrance greeting guests with Jennifer. He didn’t invite anyone important, just kept it simple with close relatives and friends.

Looking outside, he was furious. “Wendy’s gone crazy! It’s such a big deal that her son is getting married, and yet she doesn’t show up!"

Jennifer frowned. She couldn’t shake the feeling that Wendy knew something.

But Wendy was busy with work, so it seemed like she wasn’t bothered by her mom, suggesting she didn’t actually know her mom existed.

She warned Nick. “Dad, we need to pick up the pace and get our plans rolling. Otherwise, we might end up in debt."

“Wendy’s company is struggling. After Lance Group pulled their funding, they haven’t found new investors, so things are looking bad.”

Nick said, “It got tough for Wendy to handle things after you secretly moved a large sum of money.”

Jennifer whispered, “Dad, can you keep your voice down? Wendy hasn’t noticed yet, and I invested that estate in Bernille. We can take a big profit from it, and for now she won’t be able to track this loophole."

“Mom bought me lots of dresses yesterday. She’s still really nice to me,” Jennifer said with a look of disdain. No matter how nice Wendy was, she wasn’t her real mom after all. Her real mom was still suffering.

Jennifer said, “Dad, I don’t want to be known as the homewrecker’s daughter. You better get the divorce and take over the company."

“Wendy’s parents have a lot of assets, and you need to con them into giving everything to my mom. That would be the compensation she deserves.”

Nick was troubled. He said, “You’re crazy. Given your grandma’s temper, she already doesn’t think much of me, and now you want me to deceive her out of her money."

“Those two old folks have looked down on me my whole life. These past two years, I’ve been avoiding them whenever possible. You want me to con them for their money? Do you think I’m not living dangerously enough?”

Nick was frustrated these days because he really was struggling. He had lost his drive, and no matter how many women he surrounded himself with, it didn’t matter.

Jennifer furrowed her brows. Noticing the crowd, she decided not to say anything more. She couldn’t rely on Nick, so she had to do it herself. The father and daughter happily greeted the guests.

Not far away, Wendy was wearing sunglasses with her assistant following her. The two stood on the second floor, watching as Jennifer and Nick had already gone in.
