Natalie really didn’t want them.

She explained, “Murray, as I said before, helping you was a small task. I’m going away for a couple of days. When I return, I want to team up with you to secure a deal overseas. With the Spencer family’s strength, we can surely secure it. Once we do, you’ll act as the main agent, and I’ll be the sub-agent. We each manage our own regions. This way, I’ll earn more than just shares.”

Natalie wasn’t about to accept something that might put her in a difficult position. Intrigue ran deep in the Spencer family. These family battles might not draw blood, but they were intense and brutal.

“Alright, you are the boss. Just let me know when you’re back. I’ll be waiting for your good news. I wouldn’t miss a profitable business opportunity,” Murray sighed.

Natalie gave a gentle smile. “Alright!”

After she ended the call, she called Zoe.

“Natalie, it’s snowing on Solstice Isle. Is it snowing there too?” Zoe sounded really happy.

Natalie looked out the window as big snowflakes started to fall. “It’s snowing here too. The scenery is beautiful. How have you been feeling lately?” Natalie asked.

“My back has been aching for the last couple of days. The doctor said I could go into labor at any moment. Yet, Mom is stuck abroad because there’s a big snowstorm, and the airport is closed. I’m getting quite anxious.” Zoe’s voice was full of worry.

Natalie said, “Don’t worry. I’ll come over tomorrow to stay with you. Aching back means the time is near.”

“That’s great, Natalie. I’ll feel so much better with you here,” Zoe said, sounding relieved.

Natalie knew that the joy of being pregnant and becoming a mom for the first time brings happiness.

“Zoe, don’t worry. I’ll be there tomorrow. Have you got everything you need?” Natalie smiled.

“Yes, Natalie, I’ve got everything except you.” Zoe joked with a laugh. She really needed someone by her side. Zoe was a single mom, and there could be various challenges during the delivery. Zoe might face questions from others, and the fear of giving birth was quite overwhelming, making her very anxious.

After chatting for a bit, Natalie hung up the phone.

It was still early. Natalie went upstairs to take her medicine and enjoyed the snowy scene outside the window. Gradually, she started to feel sleepy. Lying on her bed, she thought about taking a nap.

Davian’s outrageous video was being widely shared on the internet.

At this moment, Murray was by Emma’s side. He glanced at the news and sneered. “Grandma, he has been spoiled by his mom. He’s so arrogant, thinking he can do whatever he wants.”

Emma sat gracefully on the sofa. Her gray hair was slightly curled, and she wore emerald jewels, dazzling and radiated an air of elegance.

Murray knew that all of this was thanks to Natalie.

He was confused and asked Emma, “Grandma, but why doesn’t she want a share in the Spencer family?” Natalie seemed eager to earn money, yet when given exactly what she needed, she wouldn’t take it.

Murray was a bit puzzled.

Emma smiled, looking at his pure expression, and couldn’t help saying, “Murray, Natalie is actually very smart. By taking this 3% stake, she always feels somewhat indebted to us. She’d prefer not to owe us anything and would rather help each other whenever possible, which is quite good. Since she doesn’t want it, we can help her in other ways.”

Murray was surprised to realize that Natalie thought this way. That was true. He also didn’t like owing favors.

“Grandma, I understand now. But since Maxwell is in the hospital, do you think Jennifer has any more tricks?” Murray was really worried because Jennifer was full of tricks.

Emma’s eyes were filled with intense anger. Jennifer was becoming increasingly excessive. In the business world, things were unpredictable. If Jennifer could surpass the Spencer family with her abilities, Emma would accept defeat willingly. Jennifer insisted on using such underhanded tricks, making Emma very angry. Emma began, “She won’t make any moves against the Spencer Group for now. Their main focus is on the western suburb project. They’ll definitely handle the project first, but if, as Natalie mentioned, there are antiques below, then it’s uncertain. You need to be ready to respond at any moment.”

Murray thought of that dream he had, and his expression became serious.

“Grandma, I understand,” Murray reassured her with a confident look.

Emma smiled contentedly, seeing that Murray was making an effort to grow.

In the afternoon, Wendy had completed the handover procedures.

At six o’clock in the evening, Wendy walked out of the company building with Maria and Nora.

Turning back, Wendy looked at the tall building with some reluctance. But a deal was a deal. She sold it for 150 million dollars, neither a loss nor a gain. Wendy still owned a few more skyscrapers, and she wasn’t too worried about this one.

With a wicked smile on her lips, Wendy said, “Jennifer, I hope that 350 million dollars of yours goes down the drain.”

Buying an empty shell might drive Jennifer crazy.

Wendy looked at her two friends and said with a grin, “Maria, Nora, you all handle the company stuff. I’m going home to take care of some family matters.”

Maria replied with a smile, “We’ll manage the company affairs and come to you for any major decisions. Make sure you handle everything at home well, and don’t let yourself get hurt.”

With a nod and a smile, Wendy reassured her. “Don’t worry. Unless I allow it, no one can push me around.”

Maria and Nora were well aware of Wendy’s nature, and they weren’t worried about her.

“Okay, I’m heading out now. If anything comes up, I’ll call you.” Even in the blustery snow, Wendy’s beautiful face bore a confident smile.

Waving goodbye, Maria and Nora watched as Wendy hailed a cab by the roadside.

In a car not far away, Jennifer sat quietly, watching as Wendy left the company with a light-hearted demeanor.

A glint of satisfaction sparkled in her eyes. “Oliver, this place is finally mine. After wishing for so many years, it’s finally mine.”

Jennifer gave a satisfied smile.

Oliver smiled and looked at the building not far away, his eyes filled with deep envy. Jennifer met Easton, starting a new chapter in life, and everything went smoothly from there.

He smiled. “Ms. Simpson, you’ve been planning for so many years, and everything has been progressing smoothly. From now on, this place is yours.”

“Yes! Tomorrow, arrange for our previous partners to have Lucy and her team sign the contracts. Then, have her gather the tech department for a meeting. As long as they work hard, I won’t treat them unfairly,” Jennifer said confidently.

Oliver nodded. “Alright, Ms. Simpson. I’ll notify Lucy immediately so they can prepare early.”

Jennifer took a deep breath, feeling upbeat, and said softly, “Let’s go. We’re meeting Easton.”
