Chapter 324

Jasmine heard Jason’s deep, urgent voice and realized he was concerned about Zoe and the calls.

“Jason, Zoe has been completely sincere with you. She even gave birth to your child. I sedated Madient for the day Zoe was at the hospital while she was in labor.”

“Just look at how pathetic your life is! Jennifer is using you, Natalie is keeping things from you, and the one who loves you the most has abandoned you and left you with your child. Your life really is a failure!”

Jason shouted angrily, “Jasmine, stop talking nonsense. Where is Zoe!”

“You hurt Zoe so deeply before. Now you want to find her? Do you think she’ll forgive you? You are so shameless, with terrible morals.”

“If it wasn’t for the fact that I wanted you to be the father of my child, do you really think I would have slept with someone as stupid as you? Utterly foolish,” Jasmine retorted sarcastically.

“Natalie is your own sister. You don’t love her, yet you’re in love with a venomous woman like Jennifer. I think you must be having an affair. Otherwise, why are you so biased toward Jennifer?” Jasmine added.

“Jasmine, you’re full of crap. If you want me to help you, tell me where Zoe is!” Jason demanded.

This was exactly the response Jasmine had been waiting for. “You get me out of here first, and then I’ll tell you.”

Jason, however, asked, “Officer, could you tell me where the police station is? I’m coming over now!”

Jasmine was stunned. ‘What’s going on? Why is Jason reacting so quickly this time? He said he’s coming over. Doesn’t that mean he hasn’t left the country?’ she wondered.

Samuel answered, “Serenity Isle Police Station.”

Jason replied, “Thanks. But I’m not her family, so let her find someone else to bail her out.”

With that, Jason hung up the phone.

Jasmine stood frozen for a moment. Jason didn’t want her anymore.

She screamed in frustration, feeling utterly defeated.

Samuel spoke up, “Alright. Since no one is coming to handle this for you, the trial will begin at nine o’clock.” Jasmine snapped to attention and thought of Jennifer. It seemed her only chance was to try her luck with her.

“I have a sister,” Jasmine shouted excitedly.

Samuel watched her performance, handing her the phone. She quickly dialed Jennifer’s number.

“Hello.” It wasn’t Jasmine’s phone that made the call, so Jennifer answered without suspicion.

“Hello.” Jasmine glanced at Samuel, who deliberately stepped aside. The phone had an automatic listening function. In order to extract more secrets from this woman, Samuel turned and walked out.

“Jennifer, please help me. I’m pregnant now. Can you bail me out?” Jasmine pleaded.

“What?” Jennifer asked. “What did you do? How did you end up at the police station?”

In such a short time, Jennifer had executed her entire plan.

Jasmine, thanks for calling. I won’t save you. I'll hand over the evidence that will destroy you to the police. Calling me only makes it easier for me to send you straight to hell." Jennifer laughed joyously.

Jasmine’s face was pale. “Jennifer, you shameless woman! Do you think I won’t tell Jason everything?”

“Well, that depends on whether you get the chance to tell Jason,” Jennifer replied coldly before hanging up.

Jasmine collapsed onto the floor.

Meanwhile, Jennifer stood at the door of the courthouse, watching as Nick and the sobbing Wendy walked out.

She felt irritated and called Oliver. “Oliver, Jasmine is of no use anymore. You need to give the evidence to the police and make that girl’s death public.”

Oliver responded, “Alright, Ms. Simpson. I’ll give the evidence to the deceased’s parents right away. I won’t let her ruin our plans.”

Only then did Jennifer hang up the phone.

Wendy and Nick had already walked up to her. Jennifer sneered as she looked at Wendy. “Wendy, stop crying. My dad didn’t reject you. You’re just too much.”

“You couldn’t even take care of the household chores and left the company for my dad to manage. You don’t understand business, and now the company’s bankrupt with so much debt. How do you expect my dad to pay that off?”

“Alright, Jennifer, don’t get mad. It’s all over now. You’ve already divorced her, so what’s the point of arguing? Let’s go home,” Nick said, wrapping his arm around Jennifer’s waist and glancing at Wendy, who looked exhausted. He couldn’t shake the feeling of discomfort.

Wendy was truly gentle and kind. Without her, Nick wouldn’t have enjoyed these past two decades of good life.

“Wendy, even though we’re divorced, there’s still some feeling between us. If you ever need anything in the future, you can come to me,” Nick said.

Wendy sneered, “Since we’re divorced, there’s no connection between us anymore. From now on, your business is none of my concern. I’ll make sure the media knows about our divorce. The debts I owe are not your problem.”

Nick was startled. “No, Wendy, don’t tell the media. Let’s resolve our issues behind closed doors.”

“Fine. I’ll move to a little house outside the city. You should move quickly too. Don’t let the authorities kick you out,” Wendy said, turning to leave.

As she walked away, she wore a triumphant smile. ‘Nick, it’s your turn now. The next act is about to begin. After preparing for nearly a year, I can finally take a breath and relax,’ she wondered.

Nick frowned, surprised at how easily Wendy walked away, light as a feather after the divorce.

Now, all he had left were Jennifer, his son, and Camellia.

‘Damn, why does it feel like my heart is empty? Like I’ve lost something important,’ Nick thought to himself.

“Dad, what’s wrong with you? Are you reluctant to let Wendy go?” Jennifer asked, noticing his pale face, clearly frustrated.

Nick smiled and shook his head. “No, let’s go home and find your mom.”

“Okay. But you can’t let anyone know about your relationship with my mom. If Wendy finds out, it’ll cause chaos. With her abilities, she’ll definitely make a huge scene,” Jennifer said.
