Looking at her phone, Jillian suddenly broke down. She crouched on the ground, tears welling up in her eyes. “Madelyn, I’m late. I’m so sorry…”
At that moment, two police officers approached and took a glance, calmly stating, “She must have been kidnapped.”

Then, she was forcefully pulled into a car. Seeing that, Jillian was overwhelmed with guilt. She covered her mouth as she tried to stifle her sobs.
Meanwhile, at Lockhart Group, Sebastian had just finished discussing matters. After seeing off the client, he retrieved his phone from his assistant. When he finally unlocked his phone, he saw several missed calls. It all came from Madelyn.

“You don’t know, but I do,” Wesley chuckled. Sebastian cast him a puzzled glance.
Wesley said, “Sebastian, I think this woman is doing it on purpose. Who knows what kind of trouble she might stir up next? You should just ignore her."
Sebastian didn’t pay him any attention. Instead, he retrieved his phone and promptly returned the call. Wesley let out a sigh in his heart. He’s really hopeless.
Quickly, the call connected. Sebastian had thought that the person answering the phone would be Madelyn.
