Chapter 271 None Of Your Business

โ€œIโ€™ve heard so much about you. Todayโ€™s our first official meeting. Thank you for your earlier rescue,โ€ Sebastian spoke in a flat tone, as calm as the surface of an undisturbed lake.

Grimo met Sebastianโ€™s eyes and had to admit Madelyn sure had a good eye.

He had spent many years in the underworld, encountering all sorts of men. Yet, none of them had a presence as strong and undeniable as Sebastian.

Moreover, Sebastian possessed a formidable aura. He didnโ€™t have to make a deliberate effort to show it off; it was as if the aura was naturally ingrained in him, making him stand out and giving him a noble, esteemed air.

Even the myriad of wonders in the world could not seem to rival his calm, charming features.

However, Madelyn was nowhere to be found.

Grimo glanced back over his shoulder, scanning the crowd, only to find that Madelyn had already disappeared.

He calmly said, โ€œYouโ€™re welcome. If you really want to express gratitude, then thank your fiancรฉe. I owe her one. Weโ€™re just helping each other out.โ€

On the surface, Sebastian remained impassive, but his heart skipped a beat.

He initially thought his encounter with Grimo was purely coincidental, but to his surprise, this was related to Madelyn. But how could she possibly know about this? Is she here, too?

Subconsciously, Sebastian glanced around his surroundings.

Madelyn hid in the shadows, swiftly pulling up the collar of her black attire to shield her face.

Failing to find Madelyn anywhere, Sebastian gave up and nodded at Grimo. โ€œNo matter what, fate allowed us to work together. Now that youโ€™ve captured the person youโ€™d been finding, and Iโ€™ve resolved my matters, it can be considered a successful collaboration.โ€

Grimo chuckled. โ€œOf course. If you donโ€™t mind, hereโ€™s my business card. Feel free to reach out if thereโ€™s ever an opportunity for us to collaborate in the future.โ€

Adelar stepped forward and handed over a business card.

Sebastian shot Harriet a sidelong glance, signaling for her to accept the card. Harriet immediately stepped forward to take the card, and in return, handed Adelar another card. โ€œThis is Mr. Lockhartโ€™s card. Thank you.โ€

Grimo snorted and smirked. Heโ€™s such an arrogant man. What a surprise.

There wasnโ€™t much for two grown men to talk about. After exchanging a few brief words, Sebastian led his subordinates back to their SUV and then left.

Madelyn finally emerged, watching the car fade into the distance. She finally let out a sigh of relief, patting her chest.

โ€œYou were scared,โ€ Grimo immediately grumbled upon seeing her.

Madelyn was mortified. I canโ€™t possibly tell him I was hiding from my fiancรฉ, can I?

She gritted her teeth and retorted, โ€œItโ€™s none of your business!โ€

Adelar was speechless. Sheโ€™s the first woman who dares to speak to Boss in such a manner.

Grimo understood Madelynโ€™s temperament, so he didn't really mind. He then turned to one of his subordinates and ordered, โ€œClean this place up with the others.โ€

With that, he left, accompanied by a group of his subordinates.

They returned to the hotel half an hour later.

Upon returning to her room, Madelyn found herself still shaken by the events of the evening. It had been a perilous night, but the fact that Sebastian was unharmed brought her peace of mind.

Following that, she planned to book her flight tickets, preparing to catch the earliest plane back to Clu the next morning.

After all, she didnโ€™t want anyone to know about her visit to Rodunst. She was at ease as long as Sebastian was safe and sound.

After booking her flight, Madelyn took a hot shower, wishing away the dayโ€™s fatigue. Once she was refreshed, she prepared to retire to bed.

Just then, the doorbell suddenly rang.

She was exasperated. Seriously? Grimoโ€™s always knocking on my door in the middle of the night. Doesnโ€™t he ever let people sleep?

Getting out of bed reluctantly, she dragged her feet to open the door.

โ€œHey, itโ€™s the middle of the night! Canโ€™t a woman get some rest? You-โ€ Her words were abruptly cut off mid-sentence.

At that very moment, Sebastianโ€™s tall figure magnificently stood outside the door.

Madelynโ€™s drowsiness subsided as soon as she saw him, and her eyes snapped wide open. After a moment of stunned silence, she instinctively wanted to close the door.

However, Sebastian was way stronger than her.

Pushing the door open, Sebastian entered the room without a word, his face stern. The door slammed shut behind him, causing a loud noise. Madelyn hadnโ€™t had a chance to react when she was swiftly pinned against the wall, her wrists held above her head. He loomed over her in an incredibly intimate pose, pressing her beneath him.

โ€œI knew Iโ€™d find you here.โ€ His deep voice resonated as he stared intently at Madelyn.

Awkward, she chuckled sheepishly. โ€œWow, how did you know? What a coincidence, hehehe.โ€

Observing her frivolous demeanor, Sebastian was furious.

Suddenly, Madelyn felt a force flipping her over. Sebastian turned and sat against the wall, positioning her face-down on his lap. Without any hesitation, he slapped her on her buttocks.

The weather was hot, and Madelyn wore only a thin nightgown. It stung when his large hand struck her.

Feeling wronged, Madelyn scrunched up her face in distress. โ€œSebastian, why are you hitting me?โ€

โ€œWhy did you sneak off here? Do you have any idea how dangerous it was? One small slip and you could lose your life!โ€ Sebastian was nearly driven mad by frustration. This silly girlโ€™s playing with her life!

โ€œIโ€ฆ I was just worried about you! Besides, if something were to happen to you, I wouldnโ€™t want to live eitherโ€ฆโ€ Madelyn puffed out her cheeks in frustration.

โ€œDo you have no regard for your own life?โ€ Sebastian was quite displeased.

Does she even realize that sheโ€™s my only weakness?

If anything were to happen to Madelyn, Sebastian wouldnโ€™t be able to contain his rage. He might unleash his fury on the entire Hellfire Creed.

Madelyn quickly pleaded for mercy. โ€œIโ€™m sorry, okay? But canโ€™t you let this go, considering I saved your life by taking out that sniper? Can you please not hold this against me?โ€

Sebastian froze.

The sniper who tumbled down the mountain nearly claimed my life. Sheโ€™s the one who had taken care of him? How on earth is she so capable?

Sebastianโ€™s gaze darkened considerably.

Then, he stared intensely at Madelyn, asking in a harsh tone, โ€œMadelyn, just how many secrets are you keeping from me?โ€
