Chapter 341: Never Missed a Shot
The discovery stemmed from a bullet found in an abandoned factory. Sebastian, given the bullet's limited circulation, tracked it to the vicinity of the infamous Devil Pyramid at Baridoki. Elsewhere, such a bullet would be virtually untraceable. Furthermore, Sebastian suspected the bullet originated from Grimo's arsenal. Recalling their past collaboration rescuing hostages in Rodunst, Sebastian believed seeking Grimo's help wouldn't be difficult.
With this in mind, Sebastian immediately brought his people to the arsenal. The Devil Pyramid, a grand military arsenal highly valued by Grimo, resembled a colossal black castle from the outside. Inside, the atmosphere was dimly lit, tranquil, and solemn, creating an eerie aura. Security was extremely tight; guards stood every two meters, machine guns slung over their shoulders. Interior security was even more rigorous, with everything guarded and everyone on high alert. Trucks entering underwent thorough inspections to ensure no dangerous items were present.
Sebastian, sitting in a black van approaching the entrance, was met by a guard demanding inspection. The scene felt reminiscent of ancient times when soldiers inspected those entering a city. Malcolm, stepping out, asked if Grimo was inside. The guard immediately pointed a gun at Malcolm, questioning his familiarity with Grimo's nameโcommon knowledge dictated that casually mentioning Grimo's name was dangerous.
Forced to retreat, Malcolm raised his hands, explaining Sebastian's friendship with Grimo and their need for assistance. The guards, after a brief discussion, remained firm, refusing entry. Speechless, Sebastian had Malcolm return to the van, then called Grimo using his business card.
Grimo, at the arsenal's shooting range, displayed impeccable marksmanship, rarely missing a shot, much to the admiration of onlookers. A phone call interrupted; Grimo, irritated, assumed it was an advertisement and hung up. Malcolm, reporting Grimo's abrupt dismissal, looked speechless. Unfazed, Sebastian took the phone and dialed Grimo himself.
Just as Grimo was about to discard his phone, Sebastian called again, his voice cold and direct: "Grimo, this is Sebastian." Grimo, confused, initially felt a pang of self-consciousness comparing his appearance to Sebastian's. He politely inquired about Sebastian's needs. Sebastian immediately explained the situationโan unknown bullet, possibly from Grimo's arsenal, linked to his fiancรฉe's abduction. He requested access to the arsenal for investigation.
Grimo, initially amused, changed his expression upon learning the bullet's connection to Madelyn. Dropping his gun, he anxiously asked about Madelynโs well-being. Sebastian, unimpressed by Grimo's anxiety, tersely requested further discussion once inside. Grimo readily agreed. The arsenal doors swung open, the guards offering unimpeded passage.
Grimo promptly met Sebastian, offering him water before they began their conversation. After understanding the situation, Grimo requested the bullet. Malcolm handed it over. Examining the golden pellet, Grimo confirmed its origin, explaining its high cost and discontinued production. He then instructed Adelar to investigate its purchase history.
