Chapter 342: Have No Relation With You

โ€œYes, sir!โ€ Adelar nodded before carrying out the order. As the investigation continued, Grimo felt awkward facing Sebastian in silence.

He suggested, โ€œWe were testing our shooting skills a moment ago. Would you be interested in giving it a try?โ€

After some thought, Sebastian decided to give it a try, finding little else to do while waiting for the investigation results. The two headed to the shooting range and began to compete.

Grimo was shocked. Heโ€™d assumed Sebastian, a businessman, lacked marksmanship. Surprisingly, Sebastian's skills rivaled his own. Regardless of the gun or distance, Sebastian consistently hit the bullseye, matching Grimo shot for shot.

Grimo, taken aback, asked, โ€œHave you been training?โ€ Such precision usually required three to six years of dedicated practice.

Sebastian downplayed it, smiling nonchalantly. โ€œIt was just an old hobby.โ€ In reality, before taking over Lockhart Group, he'd undergone extensive professional training. He possessed extraordinary talent in academics, martial arts, and shooting, though he rarely trained after assuming company leadership. His muscle memory remained sharp, making him Grimo's equal.

Adelar returned. โ€œBoss, we couldnโ€™t trace where the bullet ended up.โ€

โ€œHow is this possible?โ€ Grimo frowned. Their arsenal usually tracked weapon destinations. Adelar revealed, โ€œBoss, we stopped producing those bullets three years ago. The client who purchased them retired and resold them.โ€

The bullet's origin became a mystery. Grimo was displeased. โ€œDid you investigate the client? Who did they resell the bullets to?โ€

Adelar reminded him, โ€œBoss, our arsenal never interferes with goods after sale. What do you think?โ€

Crimo pondered, while Sebastian maintained a neutral expression. "Since that client has already retired, I suppose looking into it shouldn't be a big issue."

Grimo seemed swayed, but Adelar remained concerned. Grimo commanded, โ€œImmediately investigate the bulletsโ€™ whereabouts, ensuring our clientโ€™s safety.โ€ Adelar complied, โ€œYes, Boss.โ€

He contacted the former client in front of Grimo and Sebastian. The client, flustered upon hearing from the arsenal, pleaded, โ€œIโ€™m sorry, but Iโ€™ve long since left that life behind. Iโ€™m a married man and a father now, living a peaceful life. I have no desire to be involved in these underworld disputes anymore. I hope you can spare me!โ€

Grimo snatched the phone. โ€œWhat do you mean by that? Are you meaning to say Iโ€™ll devour you if we collaborate?โ€

The client hastily clarified, โ€œNo, of course not! I just donโ€™t want to get myself involved in such disputes anymore.โ€

Grimo waved dismissively. โ€œDonโ€™t worry. I just want to ask you a few questions. After this, Iโ€™ll leave you alone.โ€

The client hesitated. Grimo, impatient, said unceremoniously, โ€œOf course, itโ€™s fine if you choose not to cooperate. This matter has nothing to do with you. However, your refusal might upset me and potentially get you in trouble. The decision is yours.โ€

He hung up. Sebastian looked skeptical. โ€œAre you sure this will work?โ€ Grimo, domineering, nodded. โ€œOf course. He wonโ€™t dare to turn me down. Why donโ€™t you count to ten? I guarantee heโ€™ll definitely call back.โ€

Sebastian, doubtful, began counting. The phone remained silent until he reached five. Grimo, slightly embarrassed, insisted, โ€œThereโ€™s still five more seconds left. Heโ€™ll definitely call back!โ€

Sebastian sneered, continuing, โ€œThree, twoโ€ฆโ€ He stopped before reaching one; the phone rang. The client called back.

Grimo smiled triumphantly. The client nervously said, โ€œI can tell you where those bullets ended up, but please, whatever you do, donโ€™t get me involved!โ€

Grimo assured him with a confident, wicked smile. The client explained, โ€œThose bullets were in my collection. After starting a family, I left the underworld and sold them to a man named Louis. I donโ€™t know his identity.โ€

Louis? Grimo found the name familiar. The client quickly ended the call. Grimo chillingly commanded, โ€œAdelar, investigate this Louis guy.โ€

Adelar immediately began investigating, reporting back quickly, โ€œBoss, Louis joined Oceanic Empire about four years agoโ€ฆ Thatโ€™s all I could find. His role is unknown.โ€

This suggested Madelyn might have been taken by Oceanic Empire. Sebastianโ€™s brow furrowed. Oceanic Empire? Again? Grimo was also surprised. โ€œThat woman was captured by Oceanic Empire?โ€

Sebastian's expression was grim; the answer was clear. He asked, โ€œGrimo, do you know Oceanic Empire's headquarters location?โ€ Grimoโ€™s heart pounded.
