Chapter 98 She Must Be Eliminated

Madelyn was instantly filled with dread.

She didnโ€™t expect Ruth to have no sense of shame at all! When she couldnโ€™t openly win over Yadiel, she resorted to drugging him in secret. It was simply despicable.

Moreover, this was in an office! She wasnโ€™t really that desperate, was she? If a passing teacher or classmate discovered this, who knew how the news would spread around the campus? Madelyn couldnโ€™t help but shudder, feeling a bit queasy.

At that moment, Ruth suddenly closed her eyes, as if she was in a state of ecstasy. Then she leaned in, her lips slightly puckered as if she was about to kiss Yadiel.

Upon witnessing this scene, Madelyn was utterly speechless. Ruth is too disgusting. Does she actually want to take advantage of Yadiel? No way. I must not let her have her way!

At the thought of it, Madelyn could no longer hold back. She abruptly sat up from the bed and swiftly pulled back the curtains.

Ruth was about to lean in for a kiss, she paused at the sound she heard. Just as Ruthโ€ฆ

When she looked up and saw Madelyn, she immediately turned to stone.

Madelynโ€™s lips curved into a faint smile as she looked at her with an expression that was somewhere between a smile and a sneer.

โ€œProfessor Pierson, what are you doing?โ€

Ruth was convinced that everything was under control, but to her surprise, Madelyn showed up. Suddenly, her face was filled with panic. She hastily explained, โ€œIโ€ฆ I just came to have a meal with Yadiel.โ€

โ€œReally?โ€ Madelyn scoffed coldly. โ€œIf you were just having a meal, was there really a need to lock the door from the inside? Also, what happened to Yadiel? He seems to be unconscious.โ€

Upon hearing this, the color instantly drained from Ruthโ€™s face.

โ€œI closed the door because I didnโ€™t want to be disturbed. As for Yadiel, he must have been asleep!โ€ Ruth insisted.

Madelyn couldnโ€™t help but sneer, thinking to herself that Ruthโ€™s lying skills were truly top-notch.

Ruth was initially very flustered, but upon hearing that, she immediately became alert.

โ€œWhat do you mean?โ€

Madelyn couldnโ€™t be bothered to beat around the bush anymore, so she took out her phone from her pocket.

She waved it in front of Ruth and teased, โ€œI captured everything you did just now. Who wouldโ€™ve thought youโ€™re such a person, Professor Pierson?โ€

Ruthโ€™s eyes narrowed. โ€œMadelyn!โ€

Madelyn, however, remained unfazed. โ€œFirst, you framed Jillian to protect your nephew, and now youโ€™re drugging Yadiel. Professor Pierson, youโ€™re quite something, arenโ€™t you? I wonder, if Yadiel knows this is who you are, will he be disappointed?โ€

After saying that, she let out a sarcastic laugh.

Never in her wildest dreams did Ruth imagine that Madelyn had recorded everything. Immediately feeling a surge of impatience, she rushed forward, demanding, โ€œGive me the phone!โ€

Madelyn didnโ€™t give her a chance to snatch it. She promptly tucked her phone into her pocket.

She chuckled. โ€œWhatโ€™s the matter? Trying to destroy the evidence?โ€

Ruth was on the verge of losing her cool. โ€œMadelyn, give me your phone now!โ€

Madelyn, however, flashed a playful smile and said, โ€œIโ€™m sorry, but no.โ€

With that, she immediately turned around and swiftly opened the door. Then, she dashed out in a flash.

As soon as the door swung open, Ruth knew that this situation couldnโ€™t possibly go on any longer. Recalling the way Madelyn looked earlier, a hint of ruthlessness suddenly flashed in her eyes.

If Yadiel found out about this matter, it would be truly over. When the time came, Yadiel would surely despise her, let alone pursuing him.

Upon reflecting on this, a wave of resentment surged in Ruthโ€™s heart. She wished she could immediately put an end to Madelynโ€™s life. This audacious girl! She definitely needs a good lesson!

After leaving the office, Madelyn made her way to the infirmary. She had no idea what had been done to Yadiel, but since he was unconscious, he needed to be examined.

Next, she proceeded to brief the doctor about the situation.

The doctor immediately grabbed his first-aid kit and accompanied her to take a look at Yadiel.

Finally, he exhaled and said, โ€œHis body temperature and heartbeat are normal. It seems heโ€™s only consumed a mild sedative. A good nightโ€™s sleep and some rest should do the trick.โ€

Upon hearing this, Madelyn felt relieved. โ€œThank you, Doctor.โ€

โ€œYouโ€™re welcome.โ€

Once the doctor had finished speaking, he picked up his first-aid kit and left.

Following that, Madelyn stayed in the office and waited for Yadiel to wake up.

Unbeknownst to her, an afternoon had swiftly passed by.

When Yadiel woke up, it was already six in the evening. Upon waking up and seeing himself lying in bed, he was momentarily bewildered. When did I get into bed to rest?

Upon drawing back the curtains, he saw Madelyn sprawling across the table, deep in slumber.

Seeing that it was getting late, Yadiel gently nudged her and whispered, โ€œMadelyn? Wake up.โ€

Madelyn opened her eyes slightly. Upon seeing Yadiel awake, she immediately broke into a smile.

โ€œAre you awake now?โ€

Yadiel nodded, then, with a look of confusion, asked, โ€œHow did I end up in bed?โ€

Madelyn chuckled and shrugged. โ€œYouโ€™ve been drugged.โ€

โ€œWhat?โ€ Yadiel was puzzled.

Next, Madelyn recounted the events of the afternoon, detailing the things that Ruth had done to Yadiel.

After hearing the whole story, Yadielโ€™s eyes were filled with disgust. To think that Ruth had the audacity to drug him! It was truly revolting.

โ€œIf I hadnโ€™t been here today, you might have been taken advantage of,โ€ Madelyn teased.

Yadiel looked at her with gratitude and said, โ€œThank you, Madelyn. Iโ€™m glad youโ€™re here.โ€

Madelyn, however, didnโ€™t seem to mind. She said with a hearty laugh, โ€œAll right, enough with the formalities. Of course, I canโ€™t let anyone disrespect my buddy, right?โ€

Yadiel smiled, feeling comforted.

Following that, noticing that it was getting late, Madelyn said, โ€œThe day is drawing to a close, I should get going. Yadiel, remember to rest well once you get home.โ€

Even though it was already evening, days in the summer always seemed to darken later.

Madelyn pondered that recently her hand had been hurting, so she couldnโ€™t go to the combat training center for training. She decided to walk back slowly, thinking it would also be a leg workout.

After leaving the school gate, she didnโ€™t hail a cab but continued to stroll leisurely along the roadside.

At that moment, the main street was bustling. As dusk approached, all vehicles had already switched on their headlights.

From a distance, it looked like a long, luminous dragon, presenting quite a sight.

Lost in her thoughts, Madelyn strolled along the road slowly.

Suddenly, her vision was obscured as someone blocked her view.

A few thugs suddenly approached her flippantly, effectively blocking Madelynโ€™s path.
